The 2014 Miss Wyoming Scholarship Pageant offers an open program for single women, ages 17-24, who has graduated from twelfth grade. All contestants must meet Wyoming residency requirements. Scholarships must be used for further accredited education. Miss Wyoming 2014 will represent the State of Wyoming at the Miss America
2015 Pageant. She must be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements, as well as the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by the Miss Wyoming Scholarship Foundation. She will have the opportunity to travel statewide, speaking wi t h youth, educators, c i v i c and state organizations, and at conventions, regarding a variety of timely interests that are pertinent to toda y’s society. She is a positive role model for all youth and young women across the state.

 On-stage competitions will be held in: Lifestyle & Fitness in Swimsuit (appropriate one or two- piece suit), Talent (90 seconds), Evening Wear and On-Stage Question. Each contestant will participate in a 10-minute private Interview. (Non-competitive, group events throughout Pageant
Week will also be held.)
 Each contestant will have a platform statement on a topic of which is important to her and is of national significance. It is necessary to have a platform to which you feel a strong connection, so that you can share this message with your community and state.
 Each contestant w i l l receive a minimum c a sh scholarship, a m o u n t yet to be determined.
There will also be numerous opportunities to receive further scholarships as a finalist or for special awards.
 In lieu of local titles, a performance fee of $100 must accompany each contestan t’s application.
This fee will be refunded if you complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner, meet ad sales requirement, compete in the Miss Wyoming 2014 Pageant and be present for Post-
Pageant activities, such as photographs and awards presentation. Additional information and d o c u m e n t a t i o n will be sent to contestants upon receipt of the completed application and fee.
 We will be accepting a maximum of 15 contestants. If we have more than 15 applicants, we will ask you to send an audition tape of your talent. We will notify you as soon as possible if this is necessary.
**  We expect that each contestant seek sponsorship of 4 program pages. All advertising and required program book information must be submitted by May 10, 2014. You will receive more information on this at a later date.
 All contestants will be required to attend a workshop, date to be determined. We will ask you to bring what wardrobe and accessories you are thinking about using, as well as be prepared to perform your talent. There will be a $150.00 workshop fee to cover expenses if all of the required paperwork is turned in by March 1, 2014. If your required paperwork is not turned in by that date then the fee for the workshop will be $200.
 The National Platform for the Miss America Organization is the Children ’s Miracle Network
Hospitals. You may also choose this as your platform. It is required by the Miss America
Organization that each contestant at the state level raise a minimum of $250 for the Children ’s
Miracle Network Hospitals. More information will be sent regarding this required fundraiser.
 The Miss Wyoming Scholarship Board of Directors reserves the right to verify all information provided on the applications.
Upon submission of this application, you will receive an additional packet of information and paperwork that needs to be returned to the Miss Wyoming Scholarship organization in a timely manner.
