The following subjects formed part of the agenda: Website Progress on the OTC website continues including the provision of an on-line training resource for supervisors of overseastrained practitioners undertaking the Stage 2 period of supervised practice. The website will also include the ability to download a “large print” version of documents. (e) New Programs The OTC has received advice from Bond University in Queensland and Swinburne University in Victoria that they intend to offer OT programs. (f) ANZCOTE The OTC will be represented by the CEO and professional adviser at this meeting in July 2015. Overseas Qualification Assessment Committee (OQAC) An on-line training resource to assist supervisors and overseas-trained practitioners with the requirements of the Stage 2 period of supervised practice will be developed in the near future. The OQAC continues to revise its reporting documentation to ensure there is a clear demonstration of the OTPP and cultural awareness. Governance and Strategic Affairs Committee (GSAC) The new constitution has been finalised to reflect the directors’ decision to ensure good governance of the OTC. The main changes are to reduce the number of directors, and to clarify the term of membership. Sponsoring organisations will be provided with the new constitution. The GSAC will arrange for the directors to receive training in relation to risk management, and it is anticipated this will form part of the next face-to-face meeting in November 2015. Health Professions Accreditation Council Forum (HPACF) Assoc Prof Adamson reported on the Strategic Planning Workshop focusing on the review being undertaken by the Minister for Health. This meeting was held on 23 March 2015, attended by herself and the CEO. She also reported on the meeting she attended on 22 May 2015. OTC continues to be an active member of the Forum, and will attend an upcoming meeting on Inter-professional Education. *** OTC Communique 10 May 2015 Page 2 of 2
