FROM THE DIRECTOR:
Summer is always a time of change at
Care-A-Lot! We have said “good-bye” to some
friends that graduated, “see you in the fall” to
some that have summer off and “welcome
back” to some that join us for the summer
vacation!
You will be receiving re-registration
materials over the next week or so, please be
sure to complete all the paper work and return
it along with your re-registration fee. This is the
only way you can guarantee your place for
September!
Please remember that your tuition is
due on Friday for the upcoming week! It is
important that all payments are in by 5:00PM. If
you pick up after 5:00PM, please drop it off in
the morning.
Our Toddler 1 teacher, Miss Donna had
back surgery and is home recovering, doing
well! Miss Sue has stepped in as lead teacher in
our Toddler 1 room.

water. Please send in swim diapers, an old
onesie/bathing suit and swim shoes!

NURSERY 2:
This month in Nursery 2, we said goodbye to Owen and Will and hello to Aidan! Our
friends continue to grow in their social skills,
using “please” and “thank-you” and taking
turns.
Water play and tag are the events of
our days on the playground as we enjoy this
beautiful summer weather. Please be sure to
have weather appropriate changes of clothes
and swim diapers in your child’s cubby. We are
looking forward to watching our babies grow
and laugh in the sunshine!

TODDLER 1:
Happy Birthday America! This month
Toddler 1, will be celebrating the 4th of July with
arts and crafts. We will also be having a
birthday party for America as well.
After the 4th, we will start our unit on
insects. We will be looking at lady bugs, ants,
flies and many other insects. Looking for bugs
on nature walks with “magnifying glasses” will
be lots of fun!
In Toddler 1, we will also be enjoying
the nice, warm summertime. We will be playing
in our sprinkler, playing on our playground and
riding our bikes.
We are looking forward to our fun and
exciting summer!

TODDLER 2:
This month in Toddler 2 we are going to
explore the wonderful world of insects! We will
be reading the awesome bug books from Eric
Carle, including: The Very Hungry Caterpillar,
The Very Grouchy Ladybug, The Very Busy
Spider and more!
As a class, we will also be taking lots of
nature walks with magnifying glasses to search
for insects of all kinds!
We will also be making lots of beautiful
art like the pictures seen in all of our books;
from easel and finger painting to gluing with
colorful tissue paper!
This will be such an exciting month as
we will also explore in dirt for sensory and we’ll
make our own dirt cups to eat!

PRESCHOOL 1:
Happy 4th of July! We are looking
forward to hot sunny weather, parades, picnics
and fireworks. July is the month for fun in the
sun!
We will explore the topics of the beach,
camping, amusement parks and other activities
we do outside. We are hoping for many hot
summer days so we can enjoy water play
through the sprinkler. We will continue to enjoy
art projects, stories, games and songs. We are
learning a new song called “Hermie the
Wormy”; we love to sing this silly song and use
our name cards for name recognition.
Miss Lisa & Miss Amanda
PRESCHOOL 2:
Thank you for making our graduation
night so special. The turnout was great! The
class was thrilled you could share their moment
of fame with you. You can be proud of all their
maturity and accomplishments this year. They
are ready to wow their kindergarten teachers.
Themes for this month will be:
celebrating the birth of the good old U.S.A.,
getting plenty of exercise and fresh air for our
week of sports and Olympics, learning about
bugs, insects and sea creatures.
Reminder to be prepared for sprinkler
activities (bathing suits, towel, and water shoes
have to be supplied to participate)
Enjoy your summer take care,
Miss Debbie & Miss Stefanie
SCHOOL AGERS:
Summer camp is finally here! Our
school agers are busy using their imagination to
build and create throughout the day. Ask your
school ager about the items they create during
our imagination stations!
Our themes for July are Magic Madness,
Movin’ & Groovin’, Disney, and Construction
Junction! We will enjoy many exciting activities
each week including life sized bubbles, relays,
and homemade ice cream!
Don’t forget water play! We have a slip
n’ slide and sprinkler out each day and will even
play water balloon baseball! Let’s stay busy and
