There are a number of useful websites with resources and ideas to extend your learning on
dinosaurs. Here are a few ideas for searching for useful resources for your classroom or for home.

The BBC Earth website has a huge resource bank of both video clips and factual information.
Search using the keywords “bbc dinosaurs”

The BBC iWonder website is also easily navigated and useful. Search using the keywords
“bbc iWonder dinosaurs”

Oxford University Museum of Natural History is not only well worth a visit, but also their
website has a wealth of resources for teachers. Search using the keywords “oxford natural
history museum”

Natural History Museum – London has a huge range of resources. The “Dino Directory”
gives facts and figures for over 300 dinosaurs which would make a great research project.
Search using the keywords “natural history museum”.

Dr Phil Manning, University of Manchester Star Lecture 2013 - 'Bright Lights, Chemical
Ghosts and Dinosaurs' is a lecture written for National Science Week 2013 for KS3 pupils.
Search using the keywords “star lectures”.

The National Geographic Channel has some really good short clips explaining a whole range
of ideas including “mapping footprints”. Search using the keywords “walking like a dinosaur
Jurassic CSI.

If you are looking for active projects a search on “how to make fossils” will provide lots of
ideas for all settings.
