Warrior Academy Lab Expectations
The West Branch Schools Warrior Academy, Credit Recovery, online classroom is an internet-based instructional
program which offers a district-approved digital curriculum on a self-paced schedule. Students will be required to
work on content daily. Students are expected to follow the West Branch Schools Code of Student Conduct, including
attendance expectations, as well as any rules specific to the Warrior Academy Lab. Enrollment in the program is a
privileged opportunity.
Expectations Specific to the WA Lab:

















Students are required to be on time and arrive in the WA room before the tardy bell.
Students must complete their own course work without dishonest or unauthorized assistance from
other students, adults, the internet or other resources.
Computers are to be used only for completion of assigned coursework.
No unauthorized internet usage is allowed.
When listening to course-related audio files, headphones must be used.
All quizzes, tests and exams must be accessed and completed in the WA lab.
Students are expected to work on course readings and/or assignments outside of the WA lab.
Students must have permission from the lab instructor to print any material.
Student login identification and passwords are to be kept confidential.
Students must not modify, endanger or damage lab equipment through carelessness or intentional
activity, including leaving a laptop unattended.
Eating is not permitted in the WA lab. Water bottles are permitted.
Cell/Smartphones and other electronics, including but not limited to Ipods, Gameboys, PSP, etc are not
allowed while in the WA lab. Items seen/used/played will be confiscated and held until a
parent/guardian picks up the item.
Students must report any misuse or damaged to a computer to the WA Lab Instructor in a timely
manner or the student will be held accountable for the damaged materials.
Students will be given 10 weeks to finish each WA Credit Recovery semester course per 40 minute
period enrolled in WA.
Students will be allotted one attempt per WA course paid for by West Branch School District. After one
allotted attempt, students will be responsible for needed courses through West Branch High School, or
financially responsible through summer school.
No Access Withdrawal Policy-Students who do not access their course for 3 consecutive school days
will be warned and after the 5th consecutive day the students will be withdrawn automatically from
WA.
Zero Percent Progress Withdrawal Policy-Students who fail to earn any points (0% Progress) for 3
consecutive school days will be warned and after the 5th consecutive day the students will be
withdrawn automatically from WA.
I agree to abide by these rules and procedures while in the Warrior Academy Lab. I understand that violation(s) of
these rules will result in my removal from the program.
