Grades 1-3 will have approximately 6-8 Saturday morning practices with an in-house tournament at the conclusion.

2. *Tri-County traveling league – Open to girls in grades 4 -8

Please note: Girls in grade 4 may register to participate in the Junior Hooper's program and/or the traveling

Tri-County program. *Teams will be formed only if there are enough participants registered for this part of the program.

The cost for each option is listed below.

Changes to registration process for this year!

You have two options for registering. One: fill out the attached form (basketball registration, WIAA concussion form, Tri-County Concussion form and Tri-County Waiver (Tri-County items only have to be filled out by 4-8 th graders playing in Tri-County.)

Two: go to www.mppointers.com

and create a login (free), you can use this for many Mineral Point Youth activities, and register on-line. Follow the links for Girls Youth Basketball.

We are always looking for parent involvement with our program, whether it be helping with administrative aspects, or with coaching. You do not need to know a lot about basketball to help and we welcome your input and feedback.

The Junior Hooper Tournament will be held at the Mineral Point High School on January 17 , 2015. The cost for this program $35 per player (included with grades 4-8 tri-county fees) payable to MP Junior Hooper’s by

September 30, 2014. That fee also includes your food donation for the Junior Hooper tournament. We do ask for each family to help out with this tournament by helping coach, run the 50-50 tables or the food stand.

Tri-County registration is due to Christine James no later than September 30 th . Tri-County is a traveling basketball league for girls in 4th to 8th grade with weekend games played typically in the Madison area. The cost is $90.00 per player. This fee goes towards the Tri-County team registration fee, official costs, and fees for our local Junior Hooper's tournament. A reversible jersey/and or uniform is required for this program.

SWBL Mineral Point Tournament

This is going to be held on January 31, 2015. Grades 5-8 will be playing at this tournament. We ask for all families’ grades 1-8 to help with this tournament. This tournament is our biggest fundraiser for the year. More details will follow in emails.

Tournaments & Fundraisers: We are expecting every family to help us with the tournaments and fundraisers that we host that your child is participating in. We do not ask anyone to sell anything during the year, just help at the tournaments. Please indicate on the registration form your preferences for helping with the 2014-2015 basketball season fundraisers. If nothing is marked, a task will be assigned to you. Please note: Although 1-

4th grade teams do not participate in the SWBL 5-8 tournament, parents are expected to help with this fundraising event.

If you are not able to help work at the sponsored events/fundraisers, we ask that you make an annual monetary donation of $50 to help cover costs. The program’s tournaments raise money that goes directly towards : the Jr. Hooper’s tournament (t-shirts, shooting shirts or shorts, basketballs, medals), Tri-County referee’s for home games, and tournament allocation money for grades 4-8 to participate in other area tournaments.
