JobSkills@BMET is part of Birmingham Metropolitan College’s commitment to support the local labour market
and our community by offering a range of free vocational and functional qualifications. Our courses have helped
thousands of people gain valuable qualifications and make a real change. Our courses are free for people aged 19
and over and receiving either Job Seeker’s Allowance (JSA), Employment Support Allowance (ESA) or Universal
Credit.
Vocational training courses include Basic IT, Health and Social Care, Engineering and Manufacturing, Business
Admin, Practical Cleaning, Facilities, Retail, Security (full SIA licence), Customer Service, Childcare, Adult Literacy,
Horticulture, Food Safety, First Aid, Health & Safety at Work, Painting and Decorating, Carpentry, Brickwork,
Electrical Skills and Plumbing.
Skills Conditionality courses approved by Job Centre Plus, you can speak to your coach about booking onto
a course and about support available with travel costs. JCP reference is ERG/30315.
