Each student will be expected to visit the media resource center, find a Medical related journal or
newspaper article on the internet, and give a brief summary of the information to the class. Resources for
this project from the Learning Resource Center or ProQuest database or Elibrary (see attached hand-out)
Topic: Cardiac arrhythmia including definition, signs and symptoms, treatment and / or
management of arrhythmias
Portfolio Project
Each student will work throughout the quarter adding and updating materials in their portfolio.
The last day of class this portfolio will be reviewed by the instructor for completeness. Students
will receive a grade for the work they have completed in their portfolio at that time.
