use chalk and oil pastel, watercolor, colored pencils and markers. Wonderful art will be brought

Join One-on-One Basketball at Laurelhurst Elementary for After School Hoops®, an ideal
introduction to the most dynamic sport in the world. Our instructors will not only teach your

Beginning and intermediate classes are offered by Chess4Life. These classes are available for
students in grades K to 5. The class will consist of learning the strategies behind the game of
chess and working toward competing in local chess tournaments; but most of all, it's about

LASER hosts an after-school theater performance class with instruction done by Stone Soup
Theatre. Two of Dr. Seuss's beloved tales: Sally and Nick are visited by the Cat in the Hat while
their Mother is away leading a children's choral rehearsal, with a rather precocious Sam-I-am.

Our LEGO-based classes are a ton of fun, but they're about more than just play. By mixing
engaging building activities with the endless creative options of the LEGO system, our classes
provide a hands-on way for students to develop problem solving skills, learn to collaborate as a

New Dimensions of Art

LASER hosts Music Lessons On Wheels. Enjoy piano lessons and music instruction at Laurelhurst
Elementary at a fraction of the cost for private lessons. Each session is a 30-minute paired
lesson. In addition to registering with LEAPS, you must contact Jeanne Freng to schedule your
specific time slot. Class minimum: 7. K-5th Grades.

TGA Premier Junior Golf brings the golf course to your school! Our national, award winning, 5
level program is specially designed for children and builds upon the educational concepts they

TGA Premier Youth Tennis is bringing the tennis court to Laurelhurst! TGA, in national
partnership with the United States Tennis Association, co-designed a tennis enrichment program
that focuses on athletic, academic and character development for children. The TGA curriculum
uses tennis equipment that is modified to be size appropriate and safe, so we can turn the school
gym into a tennis court. In addition to professional tennis instruction, your child will take part in a
combination of physical fitness for health benefits and academics such as math, science,
language and social studies for educational development. Every class focuses on social
interaction, developing positive character traits and most importantly having fun! TGA’s mission
is to empower our students with the tools to be successful on the tennis court and in life. Class

of enjoyable activities such as games, songs and stories to teach vocabulary. These classes are
