Created in 2006 by the United States Congress, the goal of Endangered Species Day is simple—to educate people about the importance of protecting our rare, threatened, and endangered animal and plant species. This Saturday the Zoo will be doing just that with a full line up of conservation based animal talks to provide a fun opportunity for zoo guests to learn about resident endangered species and what you can do to help them survive. Children can also complete an educational scavenger hunt throughout the zoo for a zoo prize! Gulf Breeze Zoo is the Gulf Coast Area’s award-winning home to more than 900 exotic animals.
