Lead the development of innovative motion estimation (ME) search algorithm and chip architecture which resulted in superior video coding quality and performance (achieved similar quality as ITU-H.264 based on only ISO-MPEG4 Part 2 standard, and accomplished more than 100X speed up in performance compared with full ME search algorithm with similar quality). c. The JV partner breached the JV agreement & took aggressive actions to seize the technology after verifying the breakthrough results, leading into international lawsuits. I was forced to fight for NPL and myself against the large overseas industry group, to defend our property right and my reputation. Through 3.5 years of fighting with limited resources, after winning the legal battle in the country that JV partner situated, we successfully settled the case and obtained rights into the IPs developed in this JV. 7. Founding President & CEO, NeoParadigm Labs, Inc. (“NPL”), 1996~2003 a. Founded the company with pioneering vision on IP based SoC design; promoted new design paradigm b.
