First Flight Adventure Park reserves the right to supplement, modify or eliminate contents of any policy or procedure as they see fit at any time, with or without notice. FFAP will make reasonable efforts to notify employees of policy and procedure changes, additions or revisions. Nothing in this employee handbook or any other document is intended to create a promise of continued employment for any employee. This handbook is not a contract of employment. Employee policies and procedures are intended to provide a safe, positive work environment. FFAP values the talent and professional knowledge of our employees and endeavors to foster an open, safe, cooperative and dynamic environment to enable customers to maximize their experiences of First Flight Adventure Park. FFAP fosters an open communication policy, where employees are encouraged to consult with management regarding suggestions or concerns related to company operations. Employment at First Flight Adventure Park Employment at First Flight Adventure Park is “Employment At-Will”. Employment may be terminated by the employer or the employee at any time with or without notice or cause. This handbook or any FFAP documents do not create a contract of employment. Nothing in this handbook or any other company document limits the right to terminate employment. This policy applies to all employees and independent contractors involved in the operations of the Company. It is expected that an employee has an obligation to report any incident or knowledge of incident related to unlawful harassment. In accordance with applicable laws and good business practices, FFAP prohibits retaliation related to any employee for reporting an unlawful harassment incident. Safety First Flight Adventure Park is committed to follow safety regulations and guidelines established by industry standards. We expect employees to follow the same procedures to ensure customers have a safe experience at FFAP. Employment Practices Job Responsibilities Employees will be provided with a copy of their job description at the time of employment. Job responsibilities will be explained by management. Employees may be expected to perform other operational duties, as needed. Job Classification First Flight Adventure Park is a seasonal business, with varied operational hours between the months of March – October annually. Business operations also are varied and effected by weather and can change without notice. 1) Non-exempt employees are paid on an hourly basis and are subject to applicable federal and state laws related to overtime compensation. Non-exempt employees shall report daily hours worked. 2) Salaried Exempt employees are paid on a weekly basis. These employees are classified according to criteria established by Federal Fair Labor Standards Act. Payment of Wages Employees will be paid every two weeks. Payments will be made on Friday one week after the pay period ends. For example, the Pay Period is June 1 – June 14. Pay day is June 21. 4 Personnel Records Employees have the responsibility to report accurate personnel data and make FFAP aware of any changes which occur. Any employee may inspect their personnel file with the presence of management. Employees have an expectation of privacy related to personnel files. FFAP will cooperate with requests of personal information from law enforcement or other federal or state investigative personnel. Standard of Conduct It is expected that employees of FFAP conduct themselves in legal, ethical and appropriate conduct. While not inclusive, unacceptable employee behavior includes: Theft, removal or unauthorized possession of company property Falsification of timekeeping records Working under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs Fighting or threatening violence in the workplace with co-workers or customers Boisterous or disruptive behavior in the workplace Violation of safety, health or company rules Negligence or improper conduct leading to damage to Company, customer or co-worker property Insubordination or disrespectful behavior towards, management, customers or coworkers Smoking in prohibited areas Sexual or unlawful harassment or bullying behavior, including outside of the workplace or on social or other media Possession or use of dangerous materials including firearms or explosives Unauthorized absence from the work station during work hours Unauthorized tardiness or absenteeism Off-Duty Conduct and Conflicts of Interest Employees are expected to conduct their personal lives in a manner which does not adversely affect the integrity and professional reputation of FFAP. Illegal off duty conduct on the part of any employee which adversely affects FFAP business interest or the employee’s ability to perform their job will not be tolerated. Alcohol and Substance Abuse Use, distribution or sale of alcohol, controlled substance and illegal drugs are prohibited during employee work hours. This includes driving company or personal vehicles for company related business. 5 Punctuality and Attendance Employees are expected to report to work on time, prepared to perform job duties as scheduled. Employees are also expected to remain at work, at their assigned work stations during work hours. If an employee is going to be late or absent for a scheduled work shift, they are expected to personally contact their manager. Leaving a message is not sufficient notice. If you fail to report to work for three consecutive scheduled work shifts, it will be considered “Abandonment of Position” and a voluntary resignation of your position. Confidentiality All information related to business operations, customer data, personnel records are to be confidential. Company Information Systems All company information and computer information systems are property of FFAP. It is unlawful to download, copy or utilize company systems for personal or non-company use. Company Property There is no expectation of privacy to company property, including, desks, lockers, computer systems or vehicles. Employee Dress Code and Hygiene Expectations Employees are expected to dress appropriately to perform their job duties. All employees have direct customer interaction and are expected to maintain professional hygiene standards. Employee Benefits As a small and seasonal employer, FFAP is not subject to Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and many laws related to benefits. FFAP will follow all applicable federal and state laws. 6 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND AGREEMENT I hereby acknowledge that I have electronically received a copy of First Flight Adventure Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures. I understand it is my responsibility to read and familiarize myself with the content of said handbook, policies and procedures. I understand that the FFAP Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures in whole or in part, is not a Contract of Employment, nor is it evidence of a contract between First Flight Adventure Park and me. I also acknowledge and agree that my employment with First Flight Adventure Park is not for a specified period of time and can be terminated or modified at any time, with or without cause or notice.
