Pearson Lachlan Suttor SMH 21-07-19 P.13 Married Joyce Evelyn Strang at St Marks, Darling Point 22/8/24 Obituary Mr. Norman Lachlan Suttor, died, at Bathurst, on Thursday last, after having been ailing for several months. He was one of the best known members of the Suttor family, whose pioneering forefathers were amongst the earliest families to settle across the mountains. He was 61 years of age. A widow, three, daughters, and an only son, survive. They are Mrs. Walter Barnes of Scone, Mrs. James White, of Muswellbrook, Miss Gwendolyn Suttor, and Mr. Pearson Lachlan Suttor of Tamworth. From Obituaries Australia: Suttor, Norman Lachlan (1864–1928) The death occurred yesterday after a long illness of Mr. Norman Lachlan Suttor, one of the most widely-known pastoralists in the western districts. Mr. Suttor was born at Brucedale, Peel, 1864. For many years he was in partnership with his brother, the late Mr. Horace M. Suttor, and owned Alloway Bank, later buying Eurona Station, Peel, and Bingletree, Sofala, where he became keenly interested in breeding sheep. His Border Leicesters won many of the principal prizes at the Sydney and western shows. He was a representative of the Bathurst diocese in the General Synod of Australia.
