If you would like to attend Colum’s Talk, entitled: “Francis Bacon and The Masters” ~ please detach
and return the slip to the Secretary.
Colum Hayward, Esoterically, Francis Bacon is identified with the Master ‘R’ and thus with Rosicrucians of his
time and Theosophists since. What are the assumptions behind such a statement? Colum’s talk is about the welltravelled concept of the Masters, their supposed Himalayan abode, how they might work with humanity, and of the
nature of Cosmic Plans. There’s an ‘introductory’ element to the talk, but it also leads to conclusions that have
important bearings on life today. Could we, as well as Bacon, receive our directions from a great and distant
source?
Colum’s background is in the White Eagle Lodge but he has recently written an extended preface to Asia
Mysteriosa, an extraordinary esoteric work of the 1930s which concerned a mathematical oracle. The oracle was
claimed to serve as a transmission point for the Masters, and demonstrates how communication with them might
be achieved. Colum has also written the meditation lifestyle (2012), eyes of the spirit (1998) and a number of
shorter works. He is the grandson of Grace Cooke, White Eagle’s medium, who herself gave great encouragement
to the FBS in the days of Hope Brameld and others.
Refreshments will be provided (tea, cakes and biscuits). No charge.
Application forms to join the Society will be available.
