Eligibility:
1. The student should be of Indian origin and studying in the state of Kerala or Tamil
Nadu in any of the Govt./Aided/Self-financing colleges duly recognised by any of the
Universities in India. The tuition fees should be in parity with the fees approved by
the Govt. for Aided/Self-financing colleges under merit list.
2. The student should have secured admission under Merit List during the academic
year 2011-12 in the respective course.
3. Family income of the student should be below Rs. 2.50 lakh per annum.
4. The decision on selection of eligible students and on payment of the scholarship
by the Managing Trustee shall be final & binding on all concerned.
Scholarship Open for International Students: No
Scholarship Description: Ten students in each discipline, of which one seat will be
kept aside for a physically challenged student (duly evidenced by a certificate issued
by a Medical Officer not below the rank of DMO or an approved Medical Officer of
the Bank), will be reimbursed 100% of the tuition fees as per the fee structure for
seats allotted in the Government quota in Govt., Aided and Self-financing colleges,
subject to a maximum of Rs. 75,000/- in a year up to the normal completion of
course. If there are no sufficient applicants in the ‘physically challenged’ category,
then cases of less than 40% also will be considered. Any disruption on account of
any kind of failure will make the student ineligible for scholarships. If applications are
not received from eligible candidates under ‘physically challenged’, it will be utilized
under general category.

Jindal Trust Studentship
Introduction:
The Jindal Trust Studentship awards are scholarships awarded by the Sitaram Jindal
Foundation, known earlier as the S.J.Jindal Trust. The S.J. Jindal Trust was established by
Dr.S.R. Jindal with the able assistance of his wife Smt.Jamnadevi Jindal, in the year 1969.
Among its many objectives, the Sitaram Jindal Foundation focuses mainly onn

Providing financial assistance and maintaining schools, colleges, pathshalas and
other centers of learning for the education of children
Establish schools, colleges and educational institutions for the spread of knowledge
and mental growth of individuals in the country.
Offering financial help to orphanages, old age homes and homes for rehabilitation of

Eligibility Criteria for the Jindal Trust Studentship:
The S.J. Jindal Foundation scholarships are available to:










Girl students studying in classes 9 and 10.
Girl students studying in classes 11 and 12
Graduates from all streams such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Pharmacy,
Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Engineering, Medicine
Post graduate courses in Arts, Science, Pharmacy, Library Science, Mass
Communication, Veterinary Science etc
Students who have obtained more than 65% marks in the courses mentioned above
are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Students should have passed the earlier
examination in the first attempt
Girl students who have obtained at least 50% marks in class 9 or 10 are eligible for
the scholarships
Since the scholarships are for students representing the financially weaker sections
of our society, documentary evidences are required to be submitted to the
Foundation for availing of the scholarships
The candidates applying for the scholarships should be citizens of India
The candidates should not be in employment, either part time or whole time
Students who are either registered in part time courses or are pursuing private
correspondence courses cannot avail of the scholarships
Value of Scholarships :
The scholarship amount varies from a monthly allowance of Rs. 400/- to Rs.2,200/Eligibility Criteria for the Jindal Trust Studentship:
The eligibility criteria for the Jindal Trust Studentship are as follows :


Candidates applying for the studentship should have a Bachelor’s degree with a
minimum of 60% marks
Candidates should necessarily belong to the economically weaker section of the
society
Duration :
The number of fellowships that awarded in year are not fixed. The Fellowships are for a
period of 1 year.
Application procedure of the Jindal Trust Studentship:
Applications for the studentships are scrutinized and evaluated by the Trust members and
selection is done by them. The applications should contain the following information :

The course for which he/she is applying for scholarship
Percentage of marks obtained in the previous examination
Yearly income of parents
Valid reasons for applying for the scholarship

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme-2011
SCHEME OF ‘LIC GOLDEN JUBILEE SCHOLARSHIP’ FOR STUDENTS BELONGING TO THE
ECONOMICALLY WEAKER FAMILIES FOR PURSUING HIGHER STUDIES.
1.
OBJECTIVE
The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to
economically weaker sections of society so as to provide them better opportunities for
higher education increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their
employability.
2.
SCOPE
The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India in a government or private
college/university,. It will also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training
Institutes/ Industrial Training Centres affiliated with the National Council for Vocational
Training (NCVT) of classes at Graduation level.
3.
ELIGIBILITY
Students who have passed Class XII exam or its equivalent in the Academic Year 2010-11
and are interested to pursue higher education in the field of
i) Medicine, Engineering, Graduation, in any discipline, Diploma Course in any field or other
equivalent courses.
ii) Vocational Courses through Government recognized Colleges/Institutes or courses in
Industrial Training Institutes (ITI).
For i) above Candidates who have passed Class XII exam or equivalent in the Academic year
2010-11 with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade and annual income of whose
parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed ` 60,000/ per annum.
For ii) above The basic educational qualification is relaxed to Class X or equivalent with at
least 60% marks in the Academic year 2011 subject to income ceiling of parents/guardians.
4.
DURATION
Scholarship shall be provided for the entire course.
5. RATE OF SCHOLARSHIP
10,000/- per annum, ` 1000/ payable monthly for ten months by Cheques to the
Beneficiary.
6. CONDITIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP
(i) Scholarship shall be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 60%
marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of
whose parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs.60,000/ per annum. Students
having the lowest family income shall be given preference in the ascending order.
(ii) The scholarship shall be discontinued if a student fails to secure 50% in B.A./B.COM. and
55% marks in other streams or equivalent grade, in the previous final examination of the
course for which scholarship is awarded. Scholarship shall not be awarded for more than the
normal period of time taken to obtain certificate/degree.
(iii) Scholarship shall not be given to more than one student in a family.
(iv) The students should be regular in attendance for which the yardstick shall be decided
by the competent authority of the school/college/university.
(v) Income certificate should be on self-certification basis by way of an affidavit on nonjudicial stamp paper for self-employed parents and from employer for employed parents
supported by documents such as land held by revenue department in the name of parents.
(vi) If a student violates any other term and condition of the scholarship, the scholarship
may be suspended or cancelled.
(vii) If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statement/certificates,
his/her scholarship shall be cancelled forthwith and the amount of the scholarship paid shall
be recovered, at the discretion of the concerned Divisional Administration of LIC.
(viii) LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation will lay down the detailed procedure for processing and
sanctioning of scholarships to eligible students.
(ix) The scheme shall be evaluated at regular intervals by the LICGJF.
(x) The regulations can be changed at any time at the discretion of the Board of Trustees of
LICGJF
7. RENEWAL OF SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship, once awarded, may be renewed during the next academic year of the
course on the production of certificate that the student has secured 50% in B.A./B.COM.
and 55% marks in other streams or equivalent grade in the examination.
8. MODE OF APPLYING
Only online applications are to be submitted through the link on the Home page. Pl. note
that MICR number is not mandatory while submitting the online application form .

Fair & Lovely Foundation Scholarships for 2010
The Fair and Lovely scholarship has empowered over 750 women across
India to fulfill their dreams. If you have a dream that you have been living
for then this scholarship is for you too.
To apply online, download the scholarship form. Fill the form and attach
the list of documents given below:





1 photocopy of all the mark sheets and certificates attested by a
Gazette officer or by the head of an educational institution.
2 passport size photographs.

advanced educational in Management, all branches of Engineering and Electro-Chemistry at
reputed institutions in India Eight scholarships each of a maximum Rs. 10,000 per annum
are proposed to be awarded for upto 4 years of study (depending on the duration of the
