Welcome to the International WeekCreati/ve/on at UT Viljandi Culture Academy April 9th -13th, 2012 We warmly invite you to participate in the international week at UT Viljandi Culture Academy in Estonia which is dedicated to creativity, arts and research. The academy is known as the sustainer and developer of Estonian native culture, and the town of Viljandi for its ancient rhythms. During the international week at UT Viljandi Culture Academy you are welcome to: participate and contribute to an international seminar on research and creative studies “The Essence of Research and Arts - Is There a Kinship?” get to know the academy and the creative incubator in crafts enjoy the young musician contest - Music Triad which unites together many professionals, music students and musicians on such musical genres as jazz, classical and traditional music share your ideas, find new partners and introduce your institution Besides joint workshops and seminars the programme includes various social and cultural events linked to Estonia and its rich cultural tradition. You also have the possibility to meet the academic and administrative staff of the academy in joint workshops and seminars. No fees are charged for the seminar and the programme. The welcome dinner, coffee breaks and sauna evening with a dinner is provided by the University of Tartu and UT Viljandi Culture Academy. Transport There are 2 airports that operate international flights. Tallinn (http://www.tallinnairport.ee/eng/info/timetable) is the main one and it is 2 - 2.5 hour drive from Viljandi. Tartu airport is 1 h drive (see http://www.tartu-airport.ee/eng/info/airlinesattartuairport). We suggest using bus transport to Viljandi from Tallinn or Tartu.
