Psychology Minor Requirements Checklist

The minor in Psychology requires 18 credits of Psychology and Natural Science coursework as shown below. At least 6
credits of the total 18 credits must be at the 3000 level or above. A minimum of a 2.0 Psychology-GPA* is required for

Psychology course work is spread across the three content areas as shown below
1. Research Methods/Critical Thinking Skills
(3 Credits)

A grade of C or better within two attempts for the General Psychology course is required to declare the
minor.

General Psychology Lab is not required for the minor.

A grade of C or better in a Natural Science course and its corresponding lab is required to declare the minor.

The Natural Science course and its corresponding lab will be included in the Psychology GPA.*

Research Assistantship courses have a limited number of openings. If interested, you must apply directly to
the Professor, and if selected, you will be issued a permit to register.

You may only use 3 credits of PSYC 3806 towards the Psychology minor. Additional credits may be used
towards meeting the minimum of 120 credits needed for graduation.

