Supreme of Show Champion, Reserve Supreme Champion, Champion Third and Champion Fourth.“You have to be in it to win it”! Please can the handlers of the exhibits wear the presentation sashes during the parade.
Best Turned Out Championships 2015 – Kindly supported by Chorley UNISON
The judges in rings 1,2 and 5 will award a special UNISON rosette to one competitor in each of their classes throughout the day. The winners of these special rosettes are then invited to attend their rings
BTO championship. Champion and reserve from each ring will then be invited to compete in the BTO
Supreme Championship where a BTO SUPREME and RESERVE SUPREME will be chosen. The BTO
Supreme Championship will be judged by Ms Linda Cadman and Ms Fiona Daniels of Chorley
UNISON and will take place before the CHAMPIONS PARADE in Ring 2.
The BTO Supreme Champion will also receive the ANNUAL Earnshaw Shire Farm and Livery
Shield – which has been very kindly donated by Mr R and Mrs. S Mortimer.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY, SHOW RULES and QUALIFIERS
1. Longton Riding Club shall not be responsible for any loss, injury, or death to any persons, their animals, property at any time whilst on the showground whether competing or not. Competitors are advised to have their own insurance inc public liability.
2. The committee reserve the right to cancel, alter, amend, split or amalgamate any class, or substitute a judge if necessary at any time.
3. Any animal showing signs of illness or disease will be asked to leave the show ground.
4. Any exhibitors, owners or attendants who have knowingly brought animals where there is an outbreak of disease such as strangles will be disqualified.
5. Exhibitors must conduct themselves in a manner that will not interfere with the enjoyment of others on the show ground. Abuse to judges, stewards and officials will not be tolerated. Anyone found doing so will be asked to leave the showground and will not receive a refund for any entry fees paid.
6. The judge’s decision is final and binding.
7. Animals must not be tethered to Club property.
8. Dogs must be on leads at all times.
9. Exhibitors must dress appropriate for their class.
10. All junior competitors (16 years and under) must wear a hard current B.S.I standard riding hat when showing their equine.
11. The championship and annual Trophies/Shields are to be returned by 1st April 2016. The winners must sign a release form and leave full contact details before taking the trophies/shields home.
12. Stallions are welcome to compete but must be correctly bitted (excluding miniature stallions -
under 42”). ALL STALLIONS MUST be handled by persons 17 years and over at ALL TIMES.
13. No STALLIONS allowed in the NOVELTY classes N1-N2, or in class 30.
14. All horses and ponies must have their passports with them.
15. No horses permitted in the spectator walk ways.
16. Winners of the Novelty Pony, Young handler, and Showmanship classes will NOT be eligible to enter the CHAMPIONSHIP PARADE. Entry fees for these classes reflect this and special prizes have been allocated .
17. M&M Horses and Ponies wishing to compete in NCPA qualifying classes must be registered with their appropriate breed society.
18. Only cash will be accepted for on the day entries. Thank you.
19. All bye-laws and policies laid down by Longton Riding Club must be adhered to.
20. Rescued Horse/Pony Class – This class is open to any horse or pony who has been rescued either privately or by a charity/organisation. The class will be judged by two judges on a mark system. Rescue
History -30 Marks, Type/Conformation- 30 Marks and Performance- 40 Marks. In the event of a tie the
Performance Mark will take precedence, followed by the mark for Rescue History. If there is still a tie the judge’s decision will be final. Comepetitors are required to submit a brief written account of their
Horse/Pony’s rescue story and photographs may be included. All stories and photographs must be submitted by 9.15am on the day of the show to the secretary – Mrs Emma Livesey.
There will be a perpetual trophy to the winner of this class which has been very kindly donated by Ms
Cathy Hyde.
IT IS THE COMPETITORS RESPONSIBILITY TO BE ON TIME FOR CLASSES – WHILST EVERY EFFORT WILL BE MADE TO
AVOID THE CLASHING OF CLASSES NO REFUNDS OF ENTRY FEES WILL BE MADE IN THE EVENT OF THIS HAPPENING.
The committee reserves the right to cancel this event in case of inclement weather and ground conditions, but every effort will be made to avoid such action. If the event is cancelled due to weather and ground condition REFUNDS WILL BE
GIVEN including First Aid fees but a £3.50 administration fee will be deducted. So please ensure you enclose all contact details Inc contact numbers if you are entering before the day. In all other cases strictly no refunds.

This show is affiliated to the International Showing Society and is a qualifier for the Royal London Show 2015.
First, second and third placed horses/ponies in eligible classes will qualify for the Champion of Britain Title classes to be held at the Royal London Show in 2015. Each qualified horse/pony will receive a qualification card in the ring which will enable the owner to enter the Royal London Show, provided the owner and rider/handler are, or become registered with the International Showing Society within 28 days of the qualifying show.
