Corporate Responsibility Policy
Responsible Solutions is a leading environmental and sustainability consultancy in the UK. We have
particular expertise in Responsible Sourcing, sustainability training and competence building, supply
chain, Life Cycle Assessment, Reporting and Environmental Management Systems. We are also
involved with a range of leading edge research projects in conjunction with leading universities.
Practice what we preach
We are at the forefront of sustainability thinking
and business application. In line with our mission
to provide advice on environmental and social
responsibility, enabling organisations to reduce
their impacts and improve their performance, the
company places great emphasis on “practising
what we preach” by seeking to minimise the
impact of our activities on the environment and
enhancing social value.
Environmental Commitments:
All employees, when carrying out their duties,
should:
• Act responsibly and in accordance with relevant
legislation.
• Minimise carbon/energy usage by:
• Minimising the use of car travel by using
public transport whenever practical.
• Combining visits in a geographical area
whenever possible.
• Allowing our associates to work from home
whenever practical.
• Ensuring the efficient use of water in our
operations.
• Setting computers to minimise energy use
• Minimise waste by:
• Reducing consumption of materials
• Reusing items whenever possible
• Recycling items wherever possible
Workforce Commitments:
• Ensure that all employees work in an ethical and
responsible manner
• Continuously be at the forefront of guidance and
support for Responsible Sourcing and other
sustainability issues
Supplier Commitments:
• Reduce the impacts of purchasing activities by:
• Seeking to purchase recycled / recycled
content materials whenever possible and in
particular purchase recycled paper, stationary
products and marketing materials.
• Ensuring in all cases that, to the best of our
knowledge, products are purchased which
have the minimum impact possible.
Community Commitments:
• Allow staff to support community causes during
work time, with a yearly allowance of volunteering
hours.
• Support relevant community organisations and
charities that are important to our employees
