Good Morning Panthers, this is Ashley Nava and Christopher Ramirez with today’s
announcements, Thursday, April 3rd
 Seniors, mark your calendars. Graduation Caps and Gowns will be delivered on May 1st
from noon until 3:30 pm. Final payment is due at that time. If you have not ordered your
cap and gown, you need to do it NOW. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Robles in room
263.
 Austin High School will be having its First Annual Car Show on Saturday, April 5th in the front
parking lot. There will be almost 100 cars here to view. If your club or organization would
like a vendor’s table at this event, see Mrs. Jones. Everyone and their families are invited
to come see all the amazing cars and trucks that will be on display.
 Cheerleader try outs will be April 7-10. All information is to be filled out online at our
website ahspanthercheer.weebly.com. There are flyers posted throughout the school with
the web address as well as in the front office.
 Prom is Saturday, May 24th! Save the date! More information to follow soon!
 AP Human Geography Review will be held on Saturday April 4 from 9-12 in room 184 with
Mrs. Chavez
 Attention Austin Panthers: We have our community service project on April 12th from 26pm at the UTEP track meet. Meal will be provided. Stop by MS. Jones in Room 159 to sign
up.
 Attention Austin Panthers: report cards will be given out on April 9th from 1-6pm during
parent teacher conference. Your parent must pick up the report card.
 A Skills USA meeting will be held, today, after school in room #86. All Skills USA members
and Academy Law Enforcement members are requested to attend this meeting.
 Attention Seniors! ETA PI Omega Champter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is offering two
$3000.00 scholarships and two $1250. grants to female seniors who have been accepted to
a four year university. You must have a 3.0 GPA . Pick up an application in Room 104.
 The El Paso Chapter, The Links, Inc. is accepting applications for scholarship grants. Must
be female maintaining a "B" average or above, and be seeking an education/degree in a
science, technology, engineering or math program. If you are interested in applying pick up
an application in Room 104.
 Attention Seniors! The Rotary Club of El Paso Foundation and Dorothy Quinn Estate, want
to provide an Austin High School senior with a $6000.00 scholarship on the basis of
academic achievement. You must have a minimum GPA of 90 and be in the top 15% of
your class. Deadline to apply is Tuesday, April 15 at 5:00 pm. See Ms. Harbrink in Room
104 for an application.
 Congratulations goes out to the Lady Panthers Softball team on their 3game winning streak
last week. Linda Diaz's game tying single in the Bottom of the 7th kept the game going for
Angie Lopez's game winning single 2 batters later in the 5-4 come from behind victory over
Bowie on Friday while Sarah Arellano's pitching gem on Saturday propelled the team in
Saturday's 14-3 victory over Irvin.
 Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Soccer team for being in the State playoffs. They play
today against Bowie at 6:30 pm at Burges High School. Good luck to the boys soccer
players.
