P Scott Carney PhD Chief Scientific Officer Scott is a physicist and expert in theoretical optics. He earned a PhD in 1999 at the University of Rochester and has been a member of the faculty at the University of Illinois since 2001. His current research interests include near-field optics, coherence theory, inverse scattering and other aspects of theoretical optics. Andrew Cittadine President & CEO Andrew has 15 years of leadership experience as a cofounder or chief executive in four medical device companies. He co-founded and served as CEO of medical device startup American BioOptics (acquired), served as the interim CEO for venture-backed startup SonarMed, and co-founded Sensant Corporation, a Silicon Valleybased, 3D medical imaging firm that was acquired by Siemens. Andrew received a BA in History and a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University where he was elected to Tau Beta Pi. He holds an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Stephen Boppart, MD PhD Chief Medical Officer Stephen is a pioneer and an internationally recognized leader in the field of optical coherence tomography (OCT), actively participating in the growth, application, and clinical adoption of this promising medical imaging technology. Recognized by MIT’s Technology Review Magazine as one of the Top 100 Young Innovators in the World for his work in medical imaging. Stephen is also a professor at the University of Illinois where he holds a Bliss Professorship of Engineering and is the Director of campus-wide Illinois Imaging Initiative, a cross-disciplinary research effort of over 200 faculty in the field of medical imaging. He served as the Founding Director of the Mills Breast Cancer Institute at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois. Stephen obtained his Ph.D. in Medical and Electrical Engineering from MIT and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School. Adam Zysk, PhD Director of Clinical Development Adam has significant experimental and clinical research experience with new medical technologies to combat cancer. He is former research assistant professor at Illinois Institute of Technology where he led the clinical research of biomedical imaging and cancer diagnostic technologies. Adam has authored over 20 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles on electromagnetic tissue interactions, imaging techniques, statistical fields, and medical diagnostics. Adam also serves on the public policy committee of the Optical Society of America. Adam received his PhD in Electrical and Computer engineering from the University of Illinois where he studied the application of optical coherence tomography for the detection of breast cancer tissue.
