Unigen Corporation Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement We are committed to upholding the human rights of our employees, treating them with dignity and respect and complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including the prevention of human trafficking and slavery. This applies to all of our employees including temporary, migrant, student, contract, direct employees, and any other type of employee. We also contractually require our suppliers to comply with current labor and ethics laws and regulations. Risk Assessment We screen suppliers to identify and evaluate human trafficking and slavery risks. This includes geographic location, manufacturing processes, history of human trafficking and slavery in the region, and the U.S. Dept. of Labor’s list of goods identified as vulnerable to forced labor. Audits Depending on the screening results, Unigen may require a third-party to conduct an on-site audit of the supplier’s operations to evaluate their compliance with our standards and applicable laws and regulations, including the prevention of human trafficking and slavery. These audits, depending on the results, may be announced or unannounced. Certification We require our suppliers to certify that their materials comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the prevention of human trafficking and slavery. Accountability In the event we discover a supplier is breaching the terms in our contract requiring our suppliers to comply with current labor and ethics laws and regulations, including prevention of human trafficking and slavery, we may take immediate action up to and including termination of the contract. We may take less extensive actions, when appropriate, if the supplier promptly alters their operations to comply with our contract and the applicable laws and regulations. Training We train managers and employees, especially those involved in supplier management, to implement our policies and ensure we meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including the prevention of human trafficking and slavery. We also train these employees on how to evaluate and ensure our suppliers’ compliance with these same applicable laws and regulations. We ensure our suppliers have access to our company standards located in our Code of Conduct (LINK) Conflict Minerals Policy We have a Conflict Minerals Policy (LINK) which shows our commitment to sourcing conflict minerals like gold, tantalum, tin and tungsten from environmentally and socially responsible suppliers.
