we require advanced notice. Any student that needs to abstain from participation will be

“What are the benefits of being a graduate of this program?”
You may be asking yourself this question. And you should! It’s a great question. We
are seeing big changes in the spa industry with the introduction of low cost/high
volume membership spas and the continued steady growth in the medical
spa/medical aesthetics industry. It is our opinion, by observing the current trends;
that the luxury day spa industry will be shrinking as a result. Where would you
like to find yourself working in these changing times? We believe that your best
opportunities lie in the medical aesthetic field. Dr. Donna Wilcox, one of the leading
medical spa physicians in our area, developed this program and teaches a large
portion of the curriculum. She is committed to providing “real word” education and
knowledge you will be able to put to use immediately upon graduation, and so are
the other highly skilled and experienced instructors. Here is what you can expect to
gain as a graduate of our program.

Potential for increased income. The program provides you with education,
hands on training and industry certifications in high quality medical grade
devices, procedures and products. This enables you to offer and perform highly
effective, higher cost treatments. For example: A 30 minute Micro-pen
procedure comes with a cost to the client of $299 to $399 vs. a 1 hour standard
facial with a cost to the client of $55 to $75, depending on the business and its
location. These high dollar treatments allow for higher commissions, higher “per
procedure” based payouts or higher hourly pay. Medical aesthetic establishments
offer varying compensation styles, we cannot guarantee which you will receive.

Increase your ability to effect greater change in client’s skin. Medical grade
procedures and products go much deeper into your client’s skin. Treating the skin
at the deeper levels of the epidermis and dermis allows you to perform not only
preventative and anti-aging skincare procedures, but also most importantly
corrective skincare procedures. These procedures change the look and feel of
your client’s skin in a very profound way.

Enables you to become a valuable team member in a professional medical
aesthetic practice. Our program places a huge emphasis on your understanding
all of the procedures available to your clients, even the procedures the physician
performs. This gives you the ability to evaluate the client’s needs and understand
what you can do for them and what the physician can do for them. It is so
important to be able to recognize where your limitations are, where the physician
can step in to take the client farther down the road to correcting their issue and
how to manage the client’s expectations of what is possible for them. This
understanding and ability establishes you as an integral part of the circle of care
the client receives and a valuable asset to the practice you are working for!

Provides valuable experience in the medical aesthetics field. There are many
skincare professionals interested in obtaining positions in the medical aesthetics
field. In our geographic area, we are the first and only comprehensive and
integrative medical aesthetician program. Graduates of our program will have
gained considerable experience and knowledge in the medical aesthetics field,
putting them far ahead of the pack. Most applicants seeking positions will have no
exposure or limited experience in the field. As a graduate of our program, you
come to a physician’s aesthetic practice thoroughly trained and ready to go. This
makes you a very valuable candidate for employment in a medical spa,
dermatologist’s office or a plastic surgeon’s office.

Enables you to start your own business within an established physician
owned medical practice. For those graduates with an entrepreneurial spirit, this
is exciting news! You will be able to develop your own medical skincare practice
within any existing medical practice that is physician owned. You will be able to
perform Dermaplaning treatments, DermaSweep medical microdermabrasion,
medical grade peels, Micro-Needling procedures and medical aesthetician level
laser services. You will be able to partner with the physician to bring these
services to their existing practice. We incorporate this information into our
curriculum to provide you with the knowledge and confidence to sell yourself and
your ability in the medical aesthetics field.
