Gujarat Urban Co-Operative Banks Federation and NAFCUB organized a seminar on 30th may 2012 in Ahmedabad. The seminar was inaugurated
by Shri Ajay Patel (Chairman of Gujarat State Co-Operative Bank ltd., Ahmedabad). Mr. Sanjay Kumar, IAS Additional director FIU-INDIA New
Delhi was the chief guest in the seminar. The chairman of GUCBF, Mr. Jyotindra Mehta presided over the seminar.
Mr. Jyotindra Mehta said that not a single Urban Co-operative Bank is penalizing under Anti Money Laundering Act. The UCB’s office bearers are
to be educated and imparted training and awareness to solve the problems.
Mr. D Krishna Advisor NAFCUB was also present in the seminar.
Nearly more than 300 delegates from 160 UCB’s and 30 delegates from 6 DCB’s attended this seminar.
The addition director Shri Sanjay Kumar along with the deputy director Shri Gokhale gave presentation and detail guidance on various aspects of
filing returns to FIU INDIA (New Delhi).
Mr. D Krishna, advisor in NAFCUB also emphasized UCB to adopt CBS on ASP model. Mr. Devendra Jain CMD of Atishay group also gave
presentation on realization of NPA assets / Disposal of immovable property acquired under SARFCI Act. The country head, HCL info System, Mr.
Rajnish Tripathi also gave presentation on CBS and its importance for URBAN CO-OPERATIVE BANKS.
