Chefs summer camps are completely hands on and allow your child to be creative while teaching them cooking fundamentals. Please see below for the tentative schedule. Cooking through Europe June 9th-13th 2nd through 8th grade (mixed age group) Class size = 12 spaces $475 per child Travel to Spain, Italy, France and Germany all while staying in the Y.U.M. Chefs Kitchen! Baking and Pastry 101 June 16th-19th 5th through 8th grade Class size = 15 spaces $450 per child Learn Bread making and create professional quality desserts and pastries. Cooking through Asia 101 June 23rd through 27th 5th through 8th grade Class size = 12 spaces $475 per child Learning cooking styles and recipes from Thailand, Japan, China, and India American Cooking! June 30th-July 3rd K through 1st grade Class size 12 spaces $350 per child Celebrate 4th of July by learning regional American fare from all four corners of the country! Students who have taken Asia 101 will have the opportunity to explore more challenging techniques and recipes Creative Cooking July 14th -18th 2nd-5th grade Class size = 10 spaces $475 per child This session is all about intuitive cooking. We will have daily cooking challenges (similar to popular television shows like Chopped and Junior Master Chef challenges!) with a culminating competition on the last day! Parents are invited to join in on the last day to sample their child’s creations. Baking and Pastry 101 and 102 Class size = 15 spaces $450 per child July 28th through August 1st 2nd through 8th grade (mixed age group) Learn Bread making and create professional quality desserts and pastries. Children who have already taking Baking and Pastry 101 have the opportunity to explore more challenging techniques in this camp. California Cuisine and Food Styling Class size = 6 spaces $550 per child August 4th -8th 6th through 12th grade Learn all about local cuisine in this advanced cooking class. We will explore and replicate restaurant quality dishes and explore how food can be art. This class is designed for the child who has an artistic side and a love for beautiful food! Creative Cooking Class size = 10 spaces $475 per child Ausugt 11th-15th 6th through 12th grade This session is all about intuitive cooking. We will have daily cooking challenges (similar to popular television shows like Chopped and Junior Master Chef challenges!) with a culminating competition on the last day! Students get the chance to work with exotic and rare ingredients! Parents are invited to join in on the last day to sample their child’s creations.
