PARIS University V Pierre et Marie Curie. Pre-Med and Medical School programs are completed in the same University in the French Educational System. Admittance is subject to a Numerus Clausus National Exam. 1985-1987: Pre-Residency Program. This was a two years Pre-Residency required to complete the MD curriculum. 1987-1991: Residency. Maxillofacial Surgery is a specialty of Surgery and required training in General Surgery and Orthopaedics (one year and a half), Plastic Reconstructive Surgery (six month) and Maxillofacial Surgery (one year).
