The Department of Economics is accepting applications for a teaching assistant for a variety of economics
courses to be offered in the Spring 2012 semester. The application form and list of TA positions is attached.
Applications are due by Monday, December 12, 2011.
Requirements:




UW Madison graduate student in good standing.
Non native English speaking applicants must have taken and passed the speak test with score of 50
or higher or a score of 45 and the enrollment of an ESL course.
Thorough knowledge of introductory macroeconomics.
Prior teaching experience.
Preference for teaching assistant positions is given to current Ph. D. students in the Department of
Economics.
Application Procedures:






Cover letter, including experience teaching or grading for the course.
Resume.
Letter from advisor indicating applicant is in good academic standing.
Copy of undergraduate and graduate transcripts highlighting economic coursework (first time
applicants only).
If applicant has prior teaching experience, please submit copies of evaluations (first time applicants
only).
