FUNDAMENTALS Work Environment Located in Grovedale Geelong. Working Conditions This position is 3 days per week, 0.6 FTE, 22.8 hours. • Some evening and weekend work may be required. • Smoothing / time-in-lieu provisions apply. • Employer superannuation contributions of 9.5 percent. • Salary packaging applies up to $15,950 as well as up to $7,800 meal benefits. • A probationary period of 3 months will apply. • The successful candidate will need to have a current Victorian Driver’s Licence and be willing to drive. • The successful candidate will need to be willing to undergo a Criminal Records check. • The successful candidate will need to have a current Working with Children’s Check and will be responsible to maintain its validity. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience working with young people with multiple and complex needs, including those involved in the Out of Home Care system. Ability to provide individualised vocational guidance and training to young people as part of their pathway to employment. Knowledge or experience of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and culture. Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport and strong relationships with a range of people, including disengaged young people and personnel working in the Out of Home Care system; varying levels of business and community organisations. Ability to develop and co-ordinate training sessions for young people in collaboration with key stakeholders and corporate partners. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor communications to a broad audience.
