New Brunswick Registered Music Teachers’ Association PRESS RELEASE For immediate release Local Music Student Wins National Memorial Pedagogy Award Name of Recipient wins national Memorial Pedagogy Award Name of recipient was recently awarded the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers’ Associations’ Memorial Pedagogy Award for receiving the highest mark in the Teachers Written Examination [Advanced] offered by the Royal Conservatory of Music or Conservatory Canada. Insert information about the recipient including city, province, name of teacher studying with, bio, other awards and future plans The CFMTA Memorial Pedagogy Award was initiated upon the passing of Robert Pounder of Alberta, a renowned teacher, mentor and colleague. Mr. Pounder was the first Honorary President of CFMTA serving from 1975 to 1996. The applicant must have studied with a current CFMTA teacher and the examination must be from a nationally based teaching institution, which examines in every province. The Memorial Pedagogy Award is presented biennially in even numbered years.
