CDAT – Campbell will confirm with Alison regarding acquittal
of funds.
Healthy Towns – Community Health has skeleton staff may
not be able to put application in for 2016
Mental Health Month Event – Was held on the 16th Oct at
PCYC. Good response in regards to the video (Wellington
Crew – Hope). Needed more services there. Need to fil out
evaluation for those who attended. U Tube video has got
10,000 likes so far.
Mental Health Forum – Well attended and great discussions.
Weigelli – Corroboree (in Cowra) now has had 800 people
register, can still register online.
CfC – Walker Crs activities have run – over 60 kids attending.
Di has organised with housing an increased mowing rotation
for park. Confusion with info from housing as to how long the
park will be there. Di has organised a roster. 1.5 hrs per
fortnight for services on a Thursday afternoon.
Mission Australia – Mardy Gordon day went well – money
raised for Dubbo Base.
WACHS & Barnardos – Aboriginal Knockout went well. Girls
team got into the finals. WACHS able to sign a few people up.
CTP funding used for community bus.

Gungie Origin – Another flyer drop for early next year. Have
worked out overview for the next 12 month – meeting dates are
confirmed – will send out when finalised. Results of Dob in a
Dealer campaign – currently 48 on the ground cases being

followed up. Previous prime Minister has committed $1M to
promote like programs.
Community Services Advisory Committee (CSAC) meeting well attended – brought up funding rounds; Liveable
communities and heathy towns. Also confirmed funding for
seniors week. Next meeting in 10th February 2016.Mentioned
Community Future Grants.
CFC –organising Community Christmas Party for the 17th Dec
– have received some donations – just over $1500. More
donations needed. Meeting will be held to organise. Halloween
– 30th Oct 6 pm – 9pm at PCYC – also a twilight Fete(flyers
given out). Grandparents Week – taking children to
Maranatha & Bellhaven on Sunday. Children’s Week – Nov –
Barnardos running some programs
Mission Aust - :”Happy Healthy Minds” – programs for 0-18
yrs. Used to be the family mental health program.
Tegan (DNC) – There is DV Support program, counselling
service available in Dubbo or over the phone.
Centacare – Chris Campion is the new research &
development officer for CfC for Dubbo/ Wellington &
Narromine.
Community Services Coordinator – Read out IPART report –
Wellington Council has been declared ‘unfit’ due to stagnant or
decreasing population of 10,000 in 2031.Wellington Council
encouraged joining with another council. Whole of LGA merger
encouraged. Council in process of analysing mergers which will
benefit to the community the most. Councillors have been told
they will be kept until September 2016.
Chris Suey – DHS – indigenous Service Officer – Providing
stakeholder and community engagement – bridging the gap.
Can provide talks to services. Connecting people to services.
Commonwealth Respite & Care Link Service – Assisting
carers of all ages. Based in Dubbo.
