2016 Horatio Alger Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:
 Full-time High school Senior in the United States, to graduate May/June 2016, to attend college fall 2016.
 Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree.
 Critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income, income verification needed.
 Involvement in co-curricular and community service activities.
 Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity.
 Minimum GPA of 2.0.
 United States citizen.

 High Technology Scholars Program - $500 scholarship, in addition to internship and loan opportunities, to WV seniors

The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship
Open to ALL student 9th through 12th grades.
 1st place: $200 check, a trophy and will advance to Sectional
 2nd place: $150check and a medal
 3rd place: $100 check
 Students can rewrite their speech year to year to perfect the delivery.

SunTrust Off to College Scholarship Sweepstakes
Criteria:
Current high school seniors and undergraduate college students
No GPA or financial need requirement
Awards:
Thirty (30) $500 scholarships to be awarded for education expenses
Application details:
Enter online or by mail once every two weeks, up to 15 times during the sweepstakes period
Two winners randomly chosen every two weeks from October 30, 2015 to May 13, 2016

 Parent or legal guardian was seriously, catastrophically or fatally injured in a documented, work-related accident.

Eligibility:




Those who plan to enroll full time at a four-0year college or university in 2016-17
Those who plan to major in a specified course of study focused on engineering, technology or
design, with and interest in the automotive industry

Mission West Virginia Scholarship
 5 - $2,000.00 scholarship for seniors who have experienced a foster care placement for 12 months or had a parent
incarcerated for 12 months during their childhood.

vocational training or certificate program.
