ANNOTATION OF MASTER’S DISSERTATION
Theme: Finding out quantity and scale of dynamics in M1F1 plants obtained
by affecting gamma (γ) rays to the cotton plant flower
Novelty of the topic. As stated in scientific resources, cotton plant has a lot
of achievements related to genetic selection researches. However, problems like
getting directed mutations and role of the genotype on the scientific researches
done in the field of experimental mutagenesis are not solved properly. Therefore, in
this thesis we focus on obtaining genotype and directed mutations by studying the
amount and range of variability in hybrid plants of cotton isogenic strain.
Aim and tasks of the work. To study the amount and range of variability in
the reciprocal hybrids obtained as a result of affected gamma rays to the lines that
have a dominant and recessive homozygote genotype for the genetic cotton
collection concerning marker marks.
To study the variability of M1 F1 plants in reciprocal hybrids obtained by
affecting gamma rays to the flower of the lines which differ from one another
according marker marks.
Research subject and object. As an object, genetic cotton collection related
isogenic lines such as L-20 and L-543 are taken as the starting material, Co60
gamma rays, the flowers of starting lines are primarily radiated in 10-15 and 20 g
doses then M1 F1 reciprocal hybrids are obtained.
Research methodology and methods.
As a research methodology,
experimental mutagenesis that is the method of affecting the radiation beams to the
cotton dust cells is used.
The level of scientific innovation of the research results. Cotton collection
marker marks the first time homozygote dominant and recessive genotype obtained
as a result of radiation, radiation hybrid lines M1 F1 plants the frequency and range
of variability are studied.
Practical importance and implementation of the research results. The
results of scientific research results in the creation of new lines of markers
homozygote their application for genetic analysis and the creation of new varieties
of selection, as well as genetic mapping isogenic lines, there is the possibility of
carrying out genetic analysis. The results obtained "Genetics and breeding grounds"
(bachelor's) and "The genetics of plants" (Master) items on the study methodology
can be used in the process.
The structure and composition of the work. The content of the thesis is 71
pages and a cover sheet, contents, introduction, the main part (Research Units),
conclusions as well as references will be included.
The main results of the work done. As a result of the reciprocal hybrids
genetic analysis of the survey results to determine the amount and range of
variability provides the opportunity for the genotype and aimed at the role of
mutations.
Conclusions and a brief statement of recommendations. As a result of the
reciprocal hybrids genetic analysis of the research results of variability in
determining the size and scope of the role of the genotype and mutations, together
with the ability to study aimed to get focused on the importance of genotype and
mutations.
