BEHAVIORS WE AGREED TO MODEL WITH EACH OTHER AND THE LARGER OSU-CASCADES COMMUNITY 9/17/13 Each individual of the Dean’s Council agreed to enact the emerging campus ethos statement by demonstrating the following supportive behaviors: Watch our natural tendency to hold disciplinary and rank/role biases, and exhibit civil and collegial behaviors. Listen more/better, using confirming and supportive behaviors. Be compassionate, remembering that our colleagues, students, and staff are individuals first, and individuals have a lot going on in their lives. Seek out the quiet voices. Act transparently. Focus first on the whole (OSU-Cascades), before our programs or divisions. Recognize that productive conflict is actually beneficial and is an opportunity to demonstrate respect for members of our community.
