HRM Oba Adejuiygbe, remarks on new Eco-Building Interactive…
“The demand for this type of hands on workshop from African people, has resulted in us to take action. It comes to us in a time
when we as a species are able to save more garbage than trash. If you find yourself throwing out pail after pail of trash you
might be a human caught up in the waste basket. Did you know the average person would amass several to 10 tons of garbage
during a lifetime? For the last few years we have been tweeking our skills on how to use refuse what we would typically consider
trash to build structures. Allowing us to create and provide shelter, benches, retainer walls, landscape walls and cisterns all
made from using you guessed it....Garbage!! Learn how to turn discarded car tires, bottles, cans and those little pesky plastic
bottles into homes and dwellings that are super eco friendly and very cheap to maintain in utilities. It’s no longer and never was
sustainable to spend a third of your income on utilities! This is an opportunity to learn how to build your own eco-based home.”
No prior training is necessary. The fee for attendance per each participant is $300 and $400/pair. The tuition to
participate is an all inclusive rate, covering on-site lodging, healthy meals, materials and social activities.
Participants are also encouraged to bring gloves, work clothes and shoes, water bottle, drum/shekere, mosquito
repellant, healthy snacks. Registration for the Eco-Building Interactive opens August 26th and closes once all spots
are filled. Click here for more information and to register for the Eco-Building Interactive.
