Citi Foundation Scholarship Program: $3,200
Requirements:
 Have at least a 3.0 grade point average;
 Commit to organizing and participating in career exploration day;
 American Indian or Alaskan Native with proof of enrollment or descendancy;
 Enroll full-time at an eligible South Dakota tribal college for the 11-12 academic year;
 Award based on exceptional academic achievement or financial need.
Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship: $5,000
Requirements:
 Have at least a 3.0 grade point average;
 Be in your first or second semester of college;
 Be the first in your immediate family to attend college;
 American Indian or Alaskan Native with proof of enrollment or descendancy;
 Enroll full-time at an eligible tribal college for the 11-12 academic year;
 Award based on exceptional academic achievement or financial need
Ecotrust Native American Scholarship Program: $3,000
Requirements:
 Must have at least 2.5 GPA;
 Enrolled full-time at either Ilisagvik College in Barrow, Alaska or Northwest Indian College in
Bellingham, Washington;
 Majoring in natural resource management, environmental studies, public health, economic
development, or social sciences;
 American Indian or Alaskan Native with proof of enrollment or descendancy;
 Demonstrate leadership;
 Award based on financial need.
Ford Motor Company Tribal College Scholarship: $3,000
Requirements:
 Have at least a 3.0 grade point average;
 Tribal college students must be majoring in math; science; engineering; business; teacher training;
or environmental science;
 American Indian or Alaskan Native with proof of enrollment or descendancy;
 Enroll full-time at an eligible tribal college for the 11-12 academic year;
 Award based on exceptional academic achievement or financial need.
Lilly Endowment, Inc: Woksape Oyate: “Wisdom of the People” Distinguished Scholar Award:

 Be valedictorian or salutatorian of your 2011 high school class;

Morgan Stanley Tribal Scholars Program: $2,500
Requirements:
 Have at least a 3.2 grade point average;
 Have declared a major in business or related field;
 Enroll full-time at an eligible tribal college for the 11-12 academic year;
 American Indian or Alaskan Native with proof of enrollment or descendancy;
 Award based on exceptional academic achievement.
Nissan North America, Inc. Scholarship: $3,000
Requirements:
 Have at least a 2.5 grade point average;
 Enroll full-time at an eligible tribal college for the 11-12 academic year;

 Must have demonstrated leadership and commitment to an American Indian community;
 Award based on exceptional academic achievement
Sovereign Nations Scholarship Fund: $2,000
Requirements:
 Have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement by having a 3.0 or higher G.P.A.;
 Commit to working for your tribe or an Indian organization upon completion of your degree;
 Enroll full-time at an eligible tribal college for the 11-12 academic year;
 American Indian or Alaskan Native with proof of enrollment or descendancy.
Spirit of Sovereignty Foundation (NIGA) Tribal College Scholarship Program: $2,000
Requirements:
 3.0 grade point average;
 Must be enrolled full time at an eligible tribal college;
 Must be majoring in any fields, preference given to business, information technology, hospitality
and marketing;
 Must be enrolled full time;
 American Indian or Alaskan Native with proof of enrollment or descendancy.
United Health Foundation Scholarship: $5,000
Requirements:
 Have at least a 3.0 grade point average;
 Enrolled full-time with a major in Health or related program;
 Must be enrolled at Dine College or Tohono O'odham Community College;

The Association on American Indian Affairs offers Emilie Hesemeyer Memorial
Scholarships in the amount of $1,500 with a preference given, but not limited to, students
pursuing a Major in education. This scholarship is renewable up to four years toward any
single degree pending satisfactory progress. Disbursement in the amount of $750 is made
directly to the college fall and spring semesters pending satisfactory progress. Spring
disbursement requires a copy of the fall semester's grades and a spring semester class
schedule.
For the 2011-2012 school year, new Hesemeyer scholarships will only be awarded as
funding allows. Current Hesemeyer scholarship recipients will continue to receive
funding as scheduled pending satisfactory progress.
Recipient progress will be monitored and reported to the funders.
Additional information and contact with your academic advisor may be required.
