Study Abroad Courses The following are some guidelines and examples that will fit most of your study abroad experiences. The AMCAS study abroad tutorial and the AMCAS instruction manual are both helpful resources. The three scenarios in which you may have studied abroad: A. Tufts Study Abroad programs (Tufts-in-Paris, Tufts-in-Madrid, etc.) You do not need to order a separate transcript since your coursework is listed on your official Tufts transcript along with grades. Enter your coursework as seen in the AMCAS coursework tutorial. B. Non-Tufts Program sponsored through a U.S. or Canadian Institution (Arcadia University in Melbourne, Australia, School for International Training (SIT), etc.) You will need to order a transcript from that US or Canadian sponsoring institution. List the school in the “Schools Attended” section and enter the coursework exactly as it is listed on that school’s transcript not what is on your Tufts transcript for transfer credit. C. Study Abroad through a program provider or direct enrollment: (International Education of Students (IES), Danish Institute for Study Abroad program (DIS), Trinity College Dublin.) You do not need to order a separate transcript. Follow the bulleted points below: Include the foreign institution and the sponsoring U.S. or Canadian institution (if there is one) in Schools Attended. Request a transcript exception for the foreign institution. Indicate the U.S. or Canadian institution on whose transcript credits will appear in Schools Attended (this assumes your program had a school sponsor – example C, above, does not). List study abroad coursework under the foreign college at which it was attempted, exactly as it appears on the sponsoring U.S. or Canadian institution's transcript. Do not enter the coursework twice.
