Pre-arranged Make-Up Exams
REGULAR BELL SCHEDULE
(Period 1, 2, 3, 4 5, 6, 7 and 8)
CRITERIA FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO LEAVE THE BUILDING FOLLOWING THEIR
EXAM(S):
 Students must have a signed permission slip from their parents indicating they are allowed to leave the
building following their exam(s). Students without permissions slips are required to remain in the
building with a teacher until 2:30 p.m. unless they are on a partial day schedule;
 Student has not missed any previous exams;
 Students with permission to leave school must leave the building by 1:00 p.m.
EXPECTATIONS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS REMAINING IN THE BUILDING FOLLOWING
THEIR EXAM(S):
 At 12:45, students who remain in the building should report to the main hallway to sign in and report to
their assigned location (Pd. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, U-Wing, M-Wing or GYM) for the afternoon.
 Students will report to their afternoon location by 12:50 p.m.
 If a student is working with a teacher they must remain with that teacher until 2:30 p.m. If they need to
see another teacher they must be escorted by a BST, Security, Paraeducator or another staff member to
their new location. All students will sign in with each staff member they visit, during the course of
semester exam week, to complete their make-up exam(s).
 Students that need to make up an exam will report to their teacher and remain there until 2:30 p.m.
 Parents will be contacted to pick up students who are disruptive or non-compliant.
 The Media Center will be closed during exams.







EXPECTATIONS FOR TEACHERS WHO WORK WITH STUDENTS ONCE EXAMS ARE
COMPLETED:
Teachers will administer any makeup exams to students during the primary exam window.
Additional Make-up Exam Window for U-Wing Students (Period 04/ 10:40 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.)
Additional Make-up Exam Window for M-Wing Students (Period 05/10:40 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.)
Period 04/Period 05 Non-Testing Students will be in the GYM from 10:40 – 12:45
Students must remain with teacher who is administering the make-up exam until 2:30 p.m.
Resource Teachers for the M and U-Wing should make arrangements for teachers to receive breaks.
