LUPTON SCHOLARSHIP FUND AT WELLESLEY COLLEGE - each year a small number of students from the Chattanooga area who are admitted to Wellesley and are eligible for financial aid are designated as Lupton Scholars. These students receive scholarships, as well as summer internship stipends and may be eligible for loan forgiveness if they choose to return to Chatt. Following graduation from Wellesley. Application fee is waived for students who apply online using the common application. See Mrs. Adamz if interested Due in DECEMBER Tennessee Tech University Scholarships – Once you have applied for admission to TN Tech, you can apply for scholarships online. Just one application allows you to compete for over 450 scholarships offered by TTU. Go to www.tntech.edu/scholarships now through December 15, 2014 for more information and to apply. Once you have applied for admission and have received your Tech ID Number (T Number), you may complete the scholarship application. If you have applied for admission but have not yet received your T Number, you may view it on Eagle Online. Or, you may use your Web ID (the admissions username that you created when you applied online for admission) on the scholarship application. Before accessing the scholarship application, you should first read the step-by-step instructions under Application Procedures. Then, apply online using ScholarWeb. You do not have to be admitted in order to apply for scholarships. ETSU SCHOLARSHIPS – Deadline is December 15 FOR FRESHMEN GUARANTEED SCHOLARSHIPS - 30/3.9 - $5000 27/3.5 - $4000 26/3.5 - $3000 25/3.5- $2000 Promise Grant – ACT of 20 and GPA of 3.0 or higher and not receiving any other scholarship from ETSU- Must have complete application for admission by April 1 - General scholarships applications are due by March 1 UTC YES SCHOLARSHIP- $3000 per year –Must submit UTC application and complete the UTC scholarship application. You must also fill out the FAFSA and UTC financial aid forms after Jan 1st but before April 1st – Everything must be in by April 1 –Based on income –low income students with a 3.0 GPA and 19 ACT will be given additional consideration UTC SCHOLARSHIPS - These are on a first come basis. To complete – LOG INTO MOCSNET ACCOUNT USING THE INFORMATION ON YOUR ACCEPTANCE LETTER. Click on the money tab. In the bottom right hand corner click on freshmen scholarships. FILL OUT THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION COMPLETELY - This means if you ACT is below a 24 and your GPA below a 3.4 you will write the essay and get teacher recommendations. If you do not, you will not get a scholarship. If you submitted before doing this, call UTC and ask them to reset your scholarship application so you can enter again. AGAIN – FILL IT OUT ASAP after receiving your acceptance letter. AXA Achiever Scholarship – To qualify, you must demonstrate: Ambition and drive, Determination to set and reach goals, respect for self, family and community, and the ability to succeed in college. Go to www.axaachievement.com to download an application and read the stories of last year’s achievers. Application deadline – December 15. $10,000 scholarship. GATES MILLENIUM SCHOLARS- this scholarship will pay ALL expenses at ANY college in the US and will also pay for GRADUATE studies in 5 areas – To be eligible you must: 1. Have demonstrated leadership abilities through various extracurricular activities 4. The 2015 GMS Online Application is Open! Applicants and references (nominators & recommenders) must register for an online account before logging in to access and complete the forms. Applicants can copy and paste the URL of the account registration page and provide it with their nine-digit Registration ID# to e-mail an invitation to their nominator and recommender. All three forms will be linked together to complete a GMS application package using the applicant's Registration ID#, first and last names.
