A “secure the date” deposit of $200.00 is due at the time of reserving the parish social hall. THE “SECURE THE DATE” DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE. This amount will be applied to your final balance. An additional damage deposit of $300.00 is also due at the time of reserving the parish social hall. After the use of the parish social hall is complete and it can be determined there was no damage done to the property of the parish’s social hall, there was no stolen property and it was left as it was found, the damage deposit will be refunded within 30 days following the event. If the deposit does not cover all damage and/or cleaning expenses required to be paid by St. Mary Parish (over and above normal cleaning), the Renter will surrender the damage deposit and be held liable for any additional costs incurred. 2. To discharge, release, defend and hold harmless St. Mary Parish, it employees & volunteers, the staff of St. Mary Parish, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, and their respective successors and assigns, from all debts, claims, demands, costs, expenses, including but not limited to attorney’s fees, judgments, damages, actions and causes of action, which the Renter, the Renter’s patrons, guests, invitees, clients, friends, or others whom the Renter permits to come upon the Premises, may now have or may hereafter have as a result of the Renter’s use of the Premises, and the Renter’s activities thereon, whether arising from bodily injury, including death, theft, property damage or any other cause whatsoever. 3. That the Renter shall be required to obtain his or her own liability insurance coverage in the amount of $1,000,000.00 combined single limit per occurrence. The additional line of (Host liquor liability included) must appear for those events where Renter will be selling alcohol.* A Certificate of Insurance must be received by St. Mary Parish’s Business Office, along with any balance due no later than 10 business days before Renter’s event. That failure to meet any of the terms set forth herein shall result in the immediate termination of this Agreement. 6 That St. Mary Parish reserves the right to terminate this Agreement for any reason or due to unforeseen circumstances which make it necessary to close the facility, including but not limited to power or fuel restrictions. In the event that St. Mary Parish terminates under this Section of the Agreement, Renter’s damages shall be limited to a return of any and all deposits. 7. That this Agreement and the times specified herein shall not be modified unless in writing and signed by St. Mary Parish. 8. To follow any and all further instructions, rules and regulations as are provided by St. Mary Parish concerning use of the Premises. 9. That under the terms of this Agreement, no liquor shall be sold in any manner whatsoever (i.e. charging for liquor being served or liquor served in connection with a sale of a ticket However, when the conditions set forth in #s 3 & 11 have been met, this line is excepted. B. Y. O. B. events are always prohibited under the law. There are NO exceptions for these types of events. Renter: _____ 10.
