PURPOSE The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to graduating high school seniors to be enrolled for undergraduate study in community colleges, colleges, trade schools and universities within the Fowler
Bonan Foundation service area as defined below.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE is based on financial need, academic performance, leadership potential, and participation in programs including but not limited to volunteerism and community service.
AWARDS: Up to 4 (four) $1000 scholarships will be awarded to deserving students residing in one of the counties served by the Fowler Bonan Foundation "Clothes for Kids" program. See list of counties below.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS: Areas that are reviewed by the committee include and given priority emphasis, include but are not limited to the following: Community Service and Financial Need. The Fowler Bonan Foundation will normally pay scholarship funds directly to the reci pient’s school. Scholarships will be awarded at the start of the recipients first semester of enrollment of place of study. The Fowler Bonan Foundation Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, color, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.
CRITERIA
Applicants must have permanent residence status in one of the 17 counties served by the Foundation.
Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance
Preference may be given to applicants who have volunteered in Fowler Bonan Foundation and / or similar community service programs.
Applicants must complete and submit a Scholarship Application by Thursday, April 30, 2015.
