Classes are $7 each and are drop in; just stop by the volunteer desk, sign in and pay for the class. Discount cards are available for
purchase at the volunteer desk, $35 for 6 classes. All classes are at UMC North. Come try an exercise class for FREE!
QIGONG - (Chee Kung) is the corner stone of an ancient holistic healing system that teaches fun, simple, and easy to learn practices anyone can learn
and apply any time to foster wellness – body, mind, spirit. One focuses on natural breathing, body alignment, intention, slow and gentle movement allowing ones natural state of wellness to flourish. Practices can be adapted to all levels of mobility.
TAI CHI—T’ai Chi is a systematic Qigong practice engaging slow, precise, smooth body movements, natural breath, moving meditation to achieve a
state of relaxation of body and mind.
GENTLE YOGA—Yoga is a healing system of theory and practice. It is a combination of breathing exercises, physical postures and meditation;
which has been practiced for more than 5,000 years.
LAUGH, STRETCH AND DE-STRESS—A modified form of laughter yoga class, that is open to anyone, can be done anywhere and you can laugh
for no reason! You do not need jokes, comedy or even to be in the mood to laugh. Experience a new sensation in yoga breathing, stretching and
mental relaxation. Depression will have a hard time hanging around after this fun class. Open to all patients, family & staff and free of charge.
MEDITATION CLASS—A four session continuous class addresses myths and misunderstandings about meditation, providing a relaxed and
comfortable introduction to this important practice. Class cost is $28 for the four series which must be paid at one time prior to the start of your first
class. Sign up at the volunteer desk and pay at the volunteer desk.

Brain Tumor Support Group - Support group for individuals who have a brain tumor and significant others who want to share concerns
and educational information. This group meets the second Wednesday of each month 10:30 am – 12:00 pm at the UA Cancer Center –

(Breast/GYN) Winning Together - Winning Together is a weekly support group for women with Breast and GYN cancers. This group
meets each Friday 10:30 – noon at the UA Cancer Center – University Campus (1515 N. Campbell Ave) in Conference Room 2919 – on
9/25/15 the group will meet in Rm. 2920 10:30-12:00. (contact Marsha Drozdoff at 694-4605 for directions).
Couples in Resilience, Optimism & Hope The couples group is a bi-annual event open to participants in the men’s group and their partners.
Refreshments will be served. Meeting in Room 2114 at the UA Cancer Center, 1515 N. Campbell Ave. Please RSVP to Steve Ross (8252009 or Laura Hagerty (694-0805).
LGBT Cancer Support Group - Weekly group for patients who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. Family & friends are
welcome. This group meets at the UA Cancer Center - North, 3838 N. Campbell Ave, Room 1127 every Monday at 4:30 pm. For further

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America Family Support Group - Support group for patients with Leukemia, Hodgkin’s disease,
Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, and their significant others. This group meets the second Monday of each month, 5:30 –7:00 pm at the UA
Cancer Center-North Campus, 3838 N. Campbell Ave., Room 1290. Contact Lynn Barwick at 694-1855.
Living with Cancer - Support group meets weekly for cancer patients and their caregivers. People with any type of cancer are welcome.
This group meets each Thursday, 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm at the UA Cancer Center – North Campus, 3838 N. Campbell Ave., in Room 1290.
Contact Jill Winter at 694-0845. ** Writing for Wellness meets the second Thursday of each month in lieu of the regular group. This is a
monthly drop-in session for patients and families where they can express themselves through structured writing exercises in a relaxed setting.
Look Good, Feel Better Program - A program for women who are going through cancer treatment. Women receive free beauty/skin care
products and tips on how to care for skin/hair/brows. There is no cost but registration for the program is required. Classes are offered at the
UA Cancer Center – North 3838 N. Campbell Ave Room 1290/1291 as well as additional locations in Tucson. For exact locations, times and
to register in advance, please call Patient Navigator Lisa Reynolds at 694-0826.
Men’s Support Group - This group is open to any man whose life has been touched by cancer at any time, in any way. Meetings are the
second and fourth Thursdays, 5:30-7:00 pm in Room 2114 at the UA Cancer Center – North Campus, 3838 N. Campbell Ave. For
information or questions, contact Steve Ross at (520) 825-2009.
Mindfulness & Meditation: - Join us weekly for this stress-relieving meditation training. Regular meditation has many preventative
benefits and helps to cultivate a peaceful mind. Meetings are every Monday 1:30-2:30 in the UA Cancer Center – University Campus (1515
N. Campbell Ave) Kiewit Auditorium, room 2951. If you arrive after 1:30, please enter the room quietly and turn off cell phones & electronic
devices before you enter the room. There is no charge.
Monthly Educational Support Series –.”Transforming Living and Dying”.. Educational support series for cancer patients, families and
staff. Meets the first Wednesday of the month 12:00-1:00 PM; UA Cancer Center 1515 N. Campbell Ave. Room 2920
Multiple Myeloma Support Group – A support and education program for patients, family members and loved ones touched by
Multiple Myeloma. This group meets the third Saturday of each month, 1:00-3:00 pm at the UA Cancer Center – North Campus, 3838 N.
Campbell Ave, in Room 1290. Contact Lynn Barwick 694-1855 for further information.
Pancreatic Cancer Support Group: A group for pancreatic patients, family members and friends. This monthly group will be a forum to
share feelings and hear guest speakers. Meetings will be the fourth Friday of each month, 11:00-12:30 pm in the Supportive Care Living
Room of UA Cancer Center – North, 3838 N. Campbell Ave. For questions and additional information, contact Lynn Barwick at 694-1855.
Prostate Cancer Support Group - Support group for men with prostate cancer. Meetings are the first and third Tuesday, 2:00 pm – 3:45
pm at the UA Cancer Center – University Campus (1515 N. Campbell Ave.) in Room 2920. Spouses are welcome to attend. For further

** Reiki Trained Cancer Survivors, Family Members and Staff - This group meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month, 10:30-12:00 in
Room 2920 at the UA Cancer Center – University Campus (1515 N. Campbell Ave). One must have received at least Level I Reiki training.
