Girls Inc. of Memphis seeks candidates for the position of Girls University Coordinator. The Coordinator must ensure delivery of Girls University programming and coordinate sessions aimed at building girls' confidence, life skills and personal development through various opportunities and workshops. Ideal candidates will be accomplished leaders who have delivered results in youth development with a passion for helping all girls realize and achieve their goals. This individual in collaboration with the Community Based Manager and other key staff will be responsible for ensuring that Girls University programming is of the highest quality and in keeping with the Girls Inc. mission, logic model and annual objective goal numbers. Essential Job Functions: Ensure that appropriate services are provided to female youth throughout the Shelby County community Serve as agency representative in the community for recruitment and marketing of the Girls University program Ensure that curricula being facilitated meets Girls Inc standards and are in alignment with girls’ needs and agency mission Utilize current community trends, data and needs associated with communities and the girls we serve in order to provide effective programs relevant to youth and educational development Ensure that the effective and efficient program delivery model is documented, implemented and evaluated through the TraxSolutions process in reference to online registration, online payment, outcomes evaluation agreement forms, outcome evaluations, etc. Work collaboratively with the Curriculum and Training Coordinator to establish sessions to be presented and facilitated and to ensure effective and efficient training and curriculum development Recruit and ensure that facilitators are properly trained, coached and evaluated Work collaboratively with the Director of Development to ensure effective systems are in place to monitor volunteers and interns at the community based program level Submit monthly reports regarding: Girls University calendar, events, programs, successes and needs Work collaboratively with school based, center based and TRiO program leadership to ensure continuity of program delivery and support Ensure Girls University program and financial documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner as specified (including financial deposits, intake forms, evaluations, etc.) Provide vision and motivation for effective Girls University programming and ensure all policies and procedures are followed by both staff and volunteers associated with Girls University Provide any requested information for grants, funding applications, and reports in an accurate and timely manner Oversee the preparation of the Girls University annual budget as part of the agency annual budget and monitor spending to ensure timely and effective record keeping with approved budget Actively seek personal and professional growth opportunities for self and any staff (including participation in conferences, training, meetings and seminars) Follow all agency policy and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook Provide appropriate supervision for participants in Girls Inc. programs Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, sociology, psychology, human services or other relevant major. Master’s degree preferred.
