N-MUSD Preschoolers are immersed in age appropriate research based literacy instruction, exciting explorations in science, math and technology. The program carefully integrates teacher directed instruction with structured and independent play activities that promote healthy social-emotional, physical and cognitive development. According to the National Institute for Early Education Research, students who attend high quality preschools enter kindergarten ready to learn with: Foundational social and behavior management skills Better pre-reading skills, richer vocabularies and stronger basic math skills 2013 assessment results indicated students who attended NMUSD preschool scored 90% proficient or advanced in English/Language Arts and 95% proficient or advanced in Math. Our curriculum is aligned with California Preschool Learning Foundations and California Curriculum Framework.
