The International Builders’ Show Can Expect a New Face – Olde Wood Limited®
(Sandy Twp, OH) --- As 2015 wraps up and the New Year begins, companies from
across the world are preparing to attend the International Builders’ Show, the largest
annual light construction show in the world.
The tradeshow features key manufacturers in the industries, such as Olde Wood
Limited, one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of custom wide plank flooring and
other reclaimed building materials.
The International Builders’ Show is Jan. 19-21, 2016 at the Las Vegas Convention Center
in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tradeshow will also feature The New American Home,
educational events, awards and opportunities for networking.
Olde Wood Ltd.’s booth will be in the South Hall Upper Level at booth number S1539,
close to IBS Live. They will unveil a new collection of wall treatment products, three
new flooring collections, and showcase the custom wide plank flooring they currently
offer, including their Reclaimed Antique, Traditional Plank and Mustang Collection
lines. The new collections will also be debuted on their website on Jan. 19.
“We are excited about the opportunity to introduce our new collections at IBS. There is
no better audience than people who are just as excited about building materials as we
are,” said Kris Young, Director of Sales.
The new Distressed Collection wall treatment products combine the traditional beauty
of reclaimed barnwood with the innovative characteristics of a distressed surface. The
new collection offers four different products inspired by the colors of the traditional
agricultural buildings that dotted the American landscape during the 18th and 19th
centuries.
“Our new barn siding collection is a great answer for those wanting color in their wall
treatments, but this collection takes it a step further in terms of its design and
versatility,” said Olde Wood’s Director of Sales Kris Young. “The collection offers a
more detailed design that shows the originality of the wood and is perfect for
traditional or modern environments.”
The three wide plank flooring collections that Olde Wood Ltd. will introduce at the start
of IBS mix the sought-after qualities of their current products with innovative pre-finish
colors and other unique characteristics only available through Olde Wood Ltd.
“The custom pre-finish colors combined with unique characteristics offer something for
every interior design style and application,” said Young. “For those building or
remodeling vacation homes, urban dwellings, historic homes or anything in between,
one of the new products will be perfect for their project.”
As for their current wide plank flooring lines, the Reclaimed Antique wide plank flooring
line offered by Olde Wood Ltd. is 100% reclaimed hardwood taken from centuries-old
agricultural and industrial buildings. The aged wood offers an authentic and
exceptionally tight wood grain with a rich, naturally weathered color and patina that
cannot be duplicated today.
Olde Wood Ltd. also manufacturers Traditional Plank wide plank flooring. This custom
flooring line replicates the early pioneer sawing practices and is crafted using live-sawn
planks from fully matured trees. Traditional Plank flooring may feature tight, natural
grain variations, coloration and character that would be removed by other modern
lumber grading practices.
The Mustang Collection by Olde Wood Ltd. is hardwood flooring with unbridled beauty
and appeal. It features two products, the Stallion Plank and the Filly Plank. The Stallion
Plank presents a bold hardwood flooring experience with its distressed surfaces and
unique features such as nail holes and variations of color, surfaces and grain patterns.
The Filly Plank, on the other hand, offers a more refined look with its smooth surfaces,
characterized by a moderate, authentic mix of sound cracks, nail holes and variances in
color.
Although Olde Wood Ltd.’s wide plank flooring is available as solid hardwood flooring,
most products are available as engineered flooring as well. Engineered flooring,
especially in reclaimed flooring, is an industry rarity. This option of flooring is best for
projects that are below-grade or in climates with higher or contrasting moisture levels.
Olde Wood Ltd. takes a 4mm wear layer of their solid wide plank flooring and adheres it
to a stable, 8-layer plywood core.
