In addition to maintaining a catalogue of existing established products. ROLE DIMENSIONS This role requires working within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to design high quality, high speed, low noise analogue and RF printed circuit boards and assemblies in accordance with engineering, mechanical and company requirements and processes. This role will also be to develop circuits and schematics and then produce PCB layouts and manufacturing/assembly data packages for a variety of RF products. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES This graduate position will be fully supported by a training program. A mentor will be assigned to the graduate and provide guidance while the graduate works towards taking on the responsibilities and accountabilities listed below: Working with Electronic/ RF Engineers to develop circuits and schematics. CAD library administration including symbol, footprint generation and database administration Design single sided, double sided and multi-layered PCB’s using industry standard techniques, ensuring consideration for DFM/DFT have been made Designing PCBs in accordance with agreed project time, cost, quality and performance requirements. Creation and maintenance of enterprise data packs Creation of 3D models and assemblies from 2D layouts Liaising closely with other engineers to create robust designs Liaising with the manufacturing team for procurement and transfer of documentation Contributing to continual process improvement within the PCB layout function Graduate Electrical/Electronic Engineer Last updated: January 2014 Page 1 of 3 COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE Qualifications and Experience Essential (E) or Desirable (D) Minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant engineering or science subject E Understanding of practical and methodical design and development E Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, preferably PCB related E Sound knowledge and understanding of basic physical principles.
