Job Title: Research Associate Job Responsibilities: The Centre for Ageing Research and Education (CARE) is a newly established centre focussing on multi- disciplinary ageing research and education. Working at the intersections of social and medical aspects of ageing, CARE will explore how the social, psychological and emotional aspects of ageing impact on quality of life in later years. CARE aims to produce high quality research as well as education initiatives which will inform the development of policy, programme, services and products towards enhancing wellbeing across the lifespan. CARE has an opening for a Research Associate (RAssoc). The RAssoc will work with faculty and senior project staff to: Conduct literature reviews Assist with the implementation of research designs Facilitate and supervise the conduct of fieldwork Assist with data analysis especially qualitative data Writing reports and publications Attend to administrative and logistic needs of research projects Assist with Centre’s significant initiatives where required Job Requirements: Master’s Degree in in epidemiology, sociology, social work, public health, psychology or a related discipline Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Excellent skills in qualitative research approaches and data analysis Able to lead and supervise team members Able to communicate and interact comfortably with older adults Extremely motivated and able to work independently in a multidisciplinary setting Knowledge of local languages/dialects is a requirement due to the nature of the research projects.
