It will allow members to grow and make connections with other across the state. They are requesting $3000. MSA said confusion with AGS receiving this donation in the past has caused difficulty for AGS. Mr. Pineda clarified that these are all of donations that were submitted to him by last Thursday and ASLPC reviewed them and decided on a certain amount to transfer from the ASLPC account to the ICC account. Now ICC Reps are deciding whether there each club should receive donations. Bio asked if there is a competition portion to the conference or if will bring prestige to the college. B. AWS Donation Request The AWS President from public forum said that they are asking for $2000 to go to a welding conference in Chicago in Nov. It will be used APPROVED to get students there and pay for a hotel for four days. Technology in welding advances so it is always good to learn more. C. Business Club Donation Request Business said they are going to a business conference next week. It has already been paid for yet they would like to be reimbursed for it. Most of the trip has been paid for but they are requesting $1000 for addition help for items such as food. Last year they came back with many medals. D. Gamer’s Lounge Donation Request Gamer’s said that they are requesting $400 to attend FanimeCon. A majority of the trip is being paid for through club funds and individuals’ own money but this donation will help with the hotel cost. Math asked what prestige it would bring to the school. Gamer’s said the club has been looking forward to it. IBA said the event in San Jose and asked why a hotel room would be necessary. Gamer’s did not know why a hotel room was necessary since he personally wasn’t going on the trip. MSA said that even if the event wouldn’t bring the school prestige, the trip is related to a lot of the majors of those in Gamer’s Lounge just as trips for other clubs benefit people through letting them learn about major related topics. Math asked if this would pay for travel or tickets. Ticket prices change over time and all hotels nearby the event would probably already be reserved. Gamer’s said that the tickets and hotel have already been paid for and they just want to be reimbursed for some of it. Bio asked if clubs will have ability to bring back a budget and more planning before donations are voted on next meeting. Mr. Pineda said yes. Gamer’s said they will bring a budget next time. Spiritual asked if some of the trip would be paid for members. Gamer’s said yes. Math said sometimes you can volunteer for events like this to get a discount on ticket so they should look into this. Gamer’s said they would look into this and bring it back for discussion next time. IBA said if they had looked into cheaper price options they might be more willing to vote for them to get a donation. Bio asked if this is the same money that they requested for an event last semester Gamer’s said there had been some confusion with donation forms. Bio asked if they were asking for the same money again. Math said it was for a different event that they has asked for. The one in the past was for a League of Legends competition. Gamer’s said the two events are separate. Math asked if they received the $350 they had asked for the other event and if they used it. APPROVED Gamer’s said they didn’t qualify for that competition. Math asked if that money could instead be used for this event. Gamer’s said they would come back next week with more information. E.
