Sentence Creation Dice Activity
For this activity, you will be practicing conjugating –ar verbs in the preterite tense and
writing your own sentences. Work with your partner to write sentences in Spanish using
words from this chapter and previous chapters. (No translators, computers, or
dictionaries) You may use your vocab sheets if necessary. Edit your work. We will put at
least one sentence from each team on the board for feedback. Afterwards, you will have a
few minutes to make additional corrections before turning in this sheet.
Rules:
Roll the dice. The first roll is for the subject
1 = Yo
2 = Tú
3 = Él, ella , or Ud.
4 = Nosotros
5 = Ellos
6 = Uds.
Roll the dice again. The second roll for the verb.
1 = Necsitar
2 = buscar
3 = llegar
4 = Hablar
5 = Trabajar
6 = Pagar
Conjugate the verb to match the subject.
For example: if I rolled a 2 (Tú form) on the first roll and a 6 (pagar) on the
second roll I would write “Pagaste”
Use the verb in a sentence.
Example: Tú pagaste en la caja.
Edit your sentences and make corrections.
Work with your group to write 10 sentences.
