Prince Edward County High School School Counseling Department Scholarship Bulletin February 2016 SUPER FAFSA Month will be in February!!! On February 3rd, 10th, & 17th financial aid representatives from Hampden-Sydney and Longwood University will be in the library from 4-7pm to assist students and parents with the completion of the FAFSA. The 2016 Dixie Youth Baseball and Softball Scholarship Applications are now available in the school counseling office. The applications are for any seniors in high school that has participated in a Dixie Youth Baseball or Softball program. The deadline is February 1, 2016. Lee-Jackson Educational Foundation Scholarship Program is seeking applicants for the 2015-2016 Lee-Jackson Educational Foundation Scholarship Program. The objective of the program is to acquaint young people with the historical legacy of two of Virginia’s most outstanding military figures, General Robert E. Lee and General Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson. Eighteen scholarships will be awarded to Virginia high school juniors and seniors submitting outstanding original, analytical essays on any aspect positive or negative on the career, character, or legacy of General Robert E. Lee and/or General “Stonewall” Jackson. The application and reporting forms are located on the Lee-Jackson Educational Foundation website at http://www.leejackson.org. Governor McAuliffe and Virginia Council on Women Announce the 5th Annual STEM Essay Contest!! Virginia Association of Federal Education Program Administrators announces the opportunity for a national scholarship for Virginia students.
