OBITUARY: Louis Carl Bushey
DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont
Louis Carl Bushey, 73, died, September 30, 2012, in the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility surrounded by his wife and four loving children.
He was born in Cambridge on, September 24, 1939, the son of the late Eugene and Susie (LaPlante)
Bushey. He graduated from the former Highgate
High School and recently celebrated 42 years of marriage with his wife Joann (Therrien) Bushey.
Louis was employed at Rock-Tenn in Sheldon
Springs for 36 years. He retired in 2002 and was able to enjoy time with his family doing the things that he enjoyed the most; gardening, woodworking, playing cards, car races and helping his children.
In addition to his wife Joann, Louis is survived by his children and many grandchildren;
Brenda Lamphere of White River Junction along with her two children, Sarah and Alex;
Louis Bushey and his wife Melissa of Barnet and their three children Abel, Ethan and
Lydia; Kevin Bushey of Thetford and Kelly Bushey and her husband Mike Vaupel of Berlin along with his youngest granddaughter Kadyona; daughter-in-law, Karen Fortin her husband Daniel and children Jameson and his wife Danielle, Nathan, Levon and Jonathan; his sister, Rita L'Esperance and her husband Jerry of St. Albans; two brothers, Raymond and Robert Bushey both of Sheldon as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents Louis was predeceased by his son, Brad; brother, Genie and two sisters,
Lillian and Laura.
The family of Louis Bushey would like to express their sincerest thanks and appreciation to the entire staff of the Oncology Clinic at Fletcher Allen Health Care for all of the excellent care and support given to Louis during his time with them.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at 12 Noon from St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, 186 Lamkin St., Highgate Center. Father
Emmanuel I. Ajanma will be the celebrant and homilist. The Rite of Committal and
Interment will follow at the Bushey family lot in St. Louis Cemetery.
Friends may call at The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton on Wednesday morning from 9 to 11 a.m.
